- fniq77Putrajaya, Malaysia52 contributionsBeautiful Architecture, Good Air CirculationAlso known as Iron Mosque (Masjid Besi), it is second largest mosque in Putrajaya after Putra Mosque. The parking is easy and spacious. The open prayer hall concept a bit uncomfortable for ladies thus the men could see the ladies performing their prayers. It is also not a user friendly mosque. The ablution areas is at the downstairs and quite far from the main prayer hall, for the elderly people is difficult for them to walk and the escalator seldom working.Visited July 2019Written 21 January 2020

Open for non moslem to visit and explore the beautiful of the mosque. Built with steel structure and offer superb view of Putrajaya. Public transport not very frequent but the visitor can take e-hailing taxi from Putrajaya Sentral to go here and the fare about RM5-RM7 per ride.Visited October 2019Written 5 March 2020

During this pandemic, they highly observed and practice strict SOPs - which is good and make us feel safe without compromising the blessedly event.Visited November 2020Written 10 January 2021

At first, I thought it is just another random mosque. However, the area is quite big and there are many things to appreciate in the mosque. The area just outside the mosque is also worth an afternoon stroll with many worthy Instagram spots.

One of the most beautiful mosques in the area. The late at the back offers beautiful views to the visitor and the staff is happy to answer questions.

Very nice mosque. Calm and peaceful. The mosque design is new and spacious. The place is located in the heart of Putrajaya. A-Must-visit place if you travel to Malaysia.

Beautiful sights in Putrajaya
View of Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, also known as Masjid Besi.
A modern mosque at the water's edge noted for its Chinese- & German-influenced steel architecture.
I was lucky enough to get this picture when lightning flashed. This picture was taken on 10/7/2020, from Dorsett Putrajaya.

The 'iron' mosque - it is a special one to see, and one of two incredible mosques in such close proximity. Well worth a visit to appreciate.

Hi, as a non-Muslim but interested in all religions I was wondering if it is possible to visit during prayer times?

Hi David, my apology for not being able to give you the best answer. However, I know that there're many non-Muslim visitors at the Tuanku Mizan Mosque but I'm not sure whether they would allow you to observe the Muslim performing prayers during prayer time. I think the best answer would be from the Management of the said mosque. You can write to admin@masjidtuankumizan.gov.my or call them at +60388804300
I wish you all the best and hopefully you'll enjoy your time when you're here in Malaysia. You can also visit Masjid Putra which is also the main mosque for Putrajaya.
