My brother's solemnization was taken place here. The masjid is huge and clean. During this pandemic, they highly observed and practice strict SOPs - which is good and make us feel safe without compromising the blessedly event.

Beautiful sights in Putrajaya
View of Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, also known as Masjid Besi.
A modern mosque at the water's edge noted for its Chinese- & German-influenced steel architecture.
I was lucky enough to get this picture when lightning flashed. This picture was taken on 10/7/2020, from Dorsett Putrajaya.

A big and beautiful mosque with a contemporary design. The view from the main hall facing the lake is breathtaking especially at night.

Stopped over for afternoon prayers en route to father in-law's funeral.
I should say the management of the masjid should do something about the escalators and staircases. Most of the escalators were not working during my visit.
Was rather uncomfortable with the open-plan prayer hall where only a 'string/tape' was erected to indicate the female prayer area, thus the men could see the ladies performing their prayers.
The ablution areas was also quite a distance from the prayer halls...imagine having to re-perform the ablution before being able to perform your prayers!

You will love this place. And your kids too. Its very spacious and every time entering the mosque i feel calm and peace. The place is well kept. Easy parking at the basement. Went there for solat tarawikh and/ or solat fardhu. During ramadhan the mosque is packed (like so many other mosque too) and its rather interesting to break fast here with the many muslim and families altogether. Currently some area is closed for renovation.

Interior very clean and well maintained. Unique architecture and calm atmosphere which invigorates the soul. Hope to visit this mosque again in the future

Been to this mosque several times. I am always be impressed with an amazing design of this mosque..I think it's unique and hence make it as one of the must visit place if I come over to Putrajaya. Also, it has a very beautiful landscape around..built next to man made lake. Perfect location if you wanna have an evening walk with the loved one.. Oh ya, it is very spacious inside this mosque, will make you feel very peaceful and comfortable to pray 😉

Hi, as a non-Muslim but interested in all religions I was wondering if it is possible to visit during prayer times?
Written 12 July 2015
Hi David, my apology for not being able to give you the best answer. However, I know that there're many non-Muslim visitors at the Tuanku Mizan Mosque but I'm not sure whether they would allow you to observe the Muslim performing prayers during prayer time. I think the best answer would be from the Management of the said mosque. You can write to admin@masjidtuankumizan.gov.my or call them at +60388804300
I wish you all the best and hopefully you'll enjoy your time when you're here in Malaysia. You can also visit Masjid Putra which is also the main mosque for Putrajaya.
