Among the shopping malls in downtown Kota Kinabalu, Suria Sabah is the grandest and most interesting for tourists. Steps away from the lively Jalan Gaya, the mall is a popular local destination with plenty of boutiques at good prices. The Lunar New Year decoration is quite impressive, too.

I went to Suria Sabah shopping mall for my lunch. This shopping mall have many ATMs that you can withdraw money from which is a convenience to shoppers. Plus there are a variety of restaurants like Penang Teochew Cendol restaurant, the Chicken Rice Shop, plus KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut etc to choose from to have your lunch or dinner here. There is also the Multi Bake shop and I bought a butter fruit cakes and 2 jars of chicken floss from this shop. I recommend this Suria Sabah shopping mall for your meals and convenience shopping.

This is a huge shopping mall with a good range of stores. It is clean and presents aesthetically and all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There is a good range of fast food, cafes and restaurants so plenty of eating options.

The mall is quite big and has a lot of shops. The shops sells a wide range of product, e.g., daily necessities, souvenirs, shoes, clothes, foods. I found that the grocery store is quite cheaper comparing to the grocery store in another mall in KK. I gave 2 visits to the grocery store during a week holiday in KK..

Nice shopping mall, a few branded shops available.
Escalators badly designed, had to walk to the end of the mall to go up/down. Very tiring , but maybe it is designed for you to see all the shops first before you go to the next level.
Overall, nice for a weekend shopping trip. Many eateries can be found here too.
p/s: Went in March and Chinese New Year decoration is still up :D lol

Other than that great shop where I bought a wonderful souvenir at a very low price, it’s a pretty run-of-the-mill shopping centre without much to differentiate it. Same shops you can find anywhere, mostly. Confusing to get out too, so just go to the main doors again.

The mall has quite a number of branded shops and its also filled with food outlets. There's a supermarket on the 3rd floor.
The arrangement of the escalators arent friendly so you may be walking a bit to go up and down, but overall, its a great mall to go window shopping.

Literally. What is it about ladies toilets in this state? I've always wondered why I have to pay 30 cents for using a wet toilet, wet floor and no toilet paper provided by the management. To add insult to injury, the toilet seats are broken because people climb on the seats with their shoes or sandals on! Not to mention broken door locks. I'd love to know who are the women using these toilets? My 30 cents was collected by a woman who pointed me to a box of tissues on the wall. Apparently it's optional.
Don't they have supervisers to check the toilets regularly? Why am I paying 30 cents for disgusting toilets when the service should be given free like in other countries? More and more shopping malls are sprouting in this state and yet they still charge people for using their toilets.

If you're a city person like me, you'll definitely love this mall. While it is an average city mall, it is a fresh breather from other local attractions/shopping district that's usually crammed and crowded. There are a lot of brands inside this new shopping mall like Brands Outlet, FOS, Reject Shop, Mango, Esprit, Elle, Coach, Metrojaya, Times bookstore and Payless Shoesource to name a few. There's also a fair amount of food and beverages shop choices. I didn't check out their food court though.
Since it is fairly new at the time this review is written, the mall is seemingly kinda empty. There's too much space that could be filled. There are a few floors and a cinema too. It's a great way to spend a couple of hours escaping the city heat and shopping indoors.
The mall is situated next to a hotel and overlooking the sea. It is very easy to be spotted

I m kinda lost and hungry can someone recommend something to eat
Written 23 March 2017
This is impossible to answer not knowing your dietary preferences.
The whole of Kota Kinabula has countless cafe's and restaurants serving a wide range of Halal and non Halal meals.
For seafood head to waterfront and have it freshly cooked for you. Otherwise just walk and you will see street food being prepared. The malls have a great selection of restaurants and fast food. so there is always something to eat.
