Pretty island, pity about the rubbish that is dumped directly into the water.

Fine to spend a couple of hours there. Water is really clear and warm. There are quite a few fish but I think the snorkelling would be a lot better further out but it is cordoned off so you can't venture to far away from the beach.Would have loved to have done the zip line between the two beaches. We booked a snorkelling tour and expected a guide and some excellent snorkelling in what is supposed to be some of the best in the world. Wrong!! We were collected from our hotel and dumped on the island with hundreds of other people. We were shown the snorkelling area which was roped off. At no time were we out of... More

Don't spend any time there , dirty and smelling place. They do have the flying fox between the two islands.

Sapi Island is indeed a clean, beautiful must-go attraction in Sabah. This island offers lots of exciting activities such as diving, snorkeling, parasailing and the zip line which I enjoyed most. Beach is clean, suitable for families. This place is also a perfect place for those wanting a romantic getaway.

The water at Sapi Island is very clear and beautiful. You can easily see groups of fish underwater. If you are looking for fish and snorkling, this can be the place. The only and the biggest con to me is that there are so many people. Crowded, not the kind of peaceful and quite beach that I was expecting.

I've never seen such beautiful fish. Get down to the ferry terminal by 8.30 to be sure of a morning out by Fairytale turquoise waters.

The beach is close to the Jesselton Point pier with less than 30 min ride. There are 2 beaches there and you can have snorkeling at both beaches.
