The Sarawak State Assembly Building is a grand, spectacular structure on the banks of the Sarawak River. It was completed in 2009 and rises an impressive 115 meters in height, with a unique 9-pointed star cross-section design. The building is best appreciated at night, when it is bathes with fabulous lighting.

This is a building used for the State Assembly. It is beautiful either in the daytime or nighttime. However casual visitors are not allowed to enter the building.

An iconic building that looks grand during the day and lights up at night. Beautiful structure but can not go in.

Situated opposite the Waterfront, this impressive Governmnet building is the focal point of the modern Kuching,it reminds me very much of a lemon squeezer :) At night it lights up in an array of colours and can be seen from near or far. Unfortunately the public are not allowed to enter, it is mere eye candy

This building can be found on the opposite bank of the Sarawak River from the main Kuching town and right beside the Durul Hana Bridge, it is the State parliament building. It is not open for general tourists however even from the outside it is an impressive building. At night the musical fountain plays on the edge of the river at 8 and 9:30 in front of the building.

Enjoy this remarkable building from across the Sarawak River along the Esplanade. You can't go inside anyway, and the grounds are surrounded by high cyclone fences so you can get that close.

The State Legislative building was opened in July 2009 and is the meeting place for representatives across Sarawak. It is impressive sitting between the Astana (Govenors residence) and Fort Margherita. It has some magnifcent eucalypt trees in the gardens which one might expect will soon dominate. ell worth a look and walk across the new foot bridge for easy access.

I went with a group and was allowed inside and OMG, the detail is incredible!!! The "Senate" room was inspired by all main religions, so as you can imagine it was mindblowing 👌 👌 !!!!! If you ever get a chance to view inside, take it. This makes my home country, Australia, their parliament like kindergarten.
