The Sarawak State Assembly Building is a grand, spectacular structure on the banks of the Sarawak River. It was completed in 2009 and rises an impressive 115 meters in height, with a unique 9-pointed star cross-section design. The building is best appreciated at night, when it is bathes with fabulous lighting.

The New Sarawak State Legislative Assembly Building (Malay: Bangunan Dewan Undangan Negeri Sarawak Baru) is the current state legislative complex of Sarawak, located opposite water front. Nice place to click pictures however you need to have a boat ride to cross to the opposite side of the river where to reach this.
As such it is beautiful location to click pictures both day and night. Especially at night when you see the shadow of this beautiful architecture on river the view is just mesmerizing. See my pictures posted with this review to enjoy the same.

An iconic building that looks grand during the day and lights up at night. Beautiful structure but can not go in.

Enjoy this remarkable building from across the Sarawak River along the Esplanade. You can't go inside anyway, and the grounds are surrounded by high cyclone fences so you can get that close.

It is a state parliament house which is grand and special. It is one of the symbolic attraction in Kuching just over the riverfront of the Kuching downtown.

Situated opposite the Waterfront, this impressive Governmnet building is the focal point of the modern Kuching,it reminds me very much of a lemon squeezer :) At night it lights up in an array of colours and can be seen from near or far. Unfortunately the public are not allowed to enter, it is mere eye candy

With an outstanding architect, this building is a landmark of Kuching City. Strategically positioned on the Sarawak River, visitors can see this building from the Kuching waterfront

This building, the parliament building, dominates the northern side of the Sarawak River opposite the Waterfront Promenade.
It's a striking building during the day, but really becomes a piece of art/architecture at night when illuminated. Add this to the illumination of the Golden "S" Bridge and you have a very interesting photo opportunity.
The only disappointing fact is that the DUN is not open to the public......you can only view it from outside.
