We played the Santubong and Matang courses on a Thursday afternoon. Both courses are well maintained and buggies were allowed on the fairway.
Matang is long and green speed is fast.
Staff are friendly.

My first time ordering food from the cafe under new (current) management.
Ordered lasagna for me and nasi goreng ISTIMEWA for my wife. The lasagna was really dry on the outside but still cold at the centre. The sause taste like tomato ketchup straight from the bottle only sweeter.
As for nasi goreng ISTIMEWA, waited for so long for the order to be served. I guess that nasi goreng was trying to sabotage the bussiness as there was nothing ISTIMEWA (special) about that dish. It was more like overpriced nasi goreng kantin sekolah to be honest.
Pls improve. I know the pastries have been and should be really good (previous experience, from the same co. but different outlet) and I somehow know the owner are good at cooking and baking, but the experience at KGS was not a pleasent one.
Peace.

KGS - Golf at all the four nines. Unfortunate for us, our first game encountered soggy fairways. Nevertheless, it was still playable even if it was frustrating at times.
Though beware that their caddies (those offered to us visitors) were below standard. They could be partimers, me guessed. Can be disappointing as we expect certain responsibilities from them as caddies.
That aside, the golfing was great for us non-serious golfers.
The Golfers Terrace served quite good local food. Beer to wash down the food. We enjoyed the heineken n the food.
Samarahan - While KGS might be some what soggy, Compared with Samarahan, KGS was still better in many aspects. Samarahan’s fairway was almost unplayable as it was so soggy that we lost many balls that were plugged deep into those soggy fairways.
I guessed if the weather was dry, the jungle nine could be challenging to play. Not on our this outing unfortunately.
The Golf Section less Alice at reception appeared relatively hostile n unwelcoming. We didn’t want to antagonise them further as we were there for fun.
Visitors do note that there is no Golfers’ Terrace Nor Restaurant in Samarahan n one has to dine out after the game. Beer is available at the driving range though.

The course is divided into four nines n overall maintenance is good. The staff is friendly. Special mention for Miss Ayu from golf booking who was exceptional helpful n professional.
Golfing was pleasant n course can be soggy after downpour. Blue tee is quite challenging for me but also joyable.
Golfers' Terrace serves great Thai food cooked by Thai chef. Go for the green curry. It is rather authentic. Overall great food.
