I decided to go here for dinner as I'd read they had some vegetarian options and I liked that 50% of the profits go towards Orangutan conservation. However, the menu was not veggie friendly at all and seems to have changed since earlier reviews. There was only really fries I could eat.
However, nice little beer garden and it is cheap. Popular with students apparently.

Brilliant bar right in the centre of the city. Beers prices are very cheap (45 ringgit for 6 bottles), and 10% less in happy hour 5pm to 8pm. Some local brews available too and a nice atmosphere.

Bear Garden is one of the very few places within Kuching that you can grab a much need beer during the day whilst out sightseeing. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. Great little bar which gets busy in the evening. We had such a good experience we made sure it was our regular watering hole for the trip. They also serve food which is great value for money and homemade. They also do amazing work supporting a local animal conservation projects. Well worth a visit.

Best place to be in Kuching! Great night life and amazing food really good vibe. Spent many of my nights in bear garden speaking to the locals enjoying life

Awesome place to have a beer with your mates. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, great selection of beer and food. I spent every night here.. No need to go anywhere else when Bear has it all.

Bear Garden is a great place to chill with friends. The beers are affordable (RM6+) and the food is delicious (flat bread, burgers). The setting is great as it's in the city centre, but you're still surrounded by greenery.

We came to Kuching this year as a group and this place was the best bar by far.
Through the week / day time it is a nice spot for chilling and watching the city go by, and at the weekends it turns into more of a music bar with good vibes and cheap drinks.
Definitely check this place out!

Great bar with a decent food menu. It’s on a semi-busy road, but the creative use of the outdoor space means there’s a nice chilled feel to the beer (bear?) garden. Good place to go with friends, or even on your own.
