This is interesting during day time but becomes more interesting at night with the multi colours of the lights. A must-visit but be aware of the crowds and parking issues.

We were lucky enough to be staying right on the waterfront - and still got a thrill every morning to go out & look out over the river. They have made a fantastic job of this walk - during the day you can sit on one of the many seats & watch the little commuter boats going back & forward across the river. At night it comes alive with lots of food stalls, entertainers, and the nightly light & sound show. We walked down there every night, and never tired of it.

Must see in Kuching. You will definitely visit here if you happen to be in Kuching. Day and night iffer you different view. More chill at night with fountain show starting at 8.30 pm. A lot of stalls lining up the waterfront for you to grab food and drinks from.

Went at night. Pretty but definitely very tourist-y.

There is a water fountain show at night that is kinda pretty.

Had nasi aruk from one of the fried rice vendor, as recommended by Grab driver. Not bad the taste. Pretty mild flavor but still nice.

Also had the gula apong ice cream. Mid to long queue. Taste good but definitely very sweet because of the brown sugar.

Can be difficult (but not impossible) to find Grab back to hotel, unless you are staying in Waterfront Hotel then you can just walk there

Beautiful sight. The lights, the scenery and the walk along the riverfront is particularly nice after dark. We went twice..one late afternoon and once at night. I vote for.after dark.

Enjoy the beauty of Sarawak River. Walk along the river and you’ll find the stunning view of the bridge and buildings especially in the night.

We had lots of fun walking around here during both day and night time. The place is beautiful with fantastic infrastructures (Dun,Mosque and Bridge). We didn't go to the other side using a sampan because the water didn't look that nice, it was very brown like tea tarik and polluted with rubbish. :-(

Please wear your mask while walking. Also, there was no water show/ musical fountain when I was there.

Jalan Main Bazaar is several blocks of old shop houses containing eateries, craft shops and collectables, with the odd hotel thrown in. Lovely area, the old centre of town. I keep going back time after time just to browse

Try to go around evening or after 5pm. Lots of eateries and street performance. Do not miss out the water show around 8.30pm. A great walk along the waterfront and the locals are very friendly too.
