This temple is small but really ornate. Look at the ceiling, walls and doors with the carvings and decorations. Worth a visit.

Although relatively small and surrounded on three sides by roads this is a very colourful Chinese/Taoist temple nearby to the James Brooke restaurant. Still very much used by the local community as shown by the amount of incense sticks burning when we visited. Some very ornate carvings on the roof and also inside the building, worthy of a short visit.

This temple stands out in an area with quite a few. Not for a great reason though - the external colour is more vibrant than the rest as it seems to use plastic/fibre glass icons on the roof which give it a tacky look. Worth a look inside at the traditional side.

Built around 1840, this Hokkien Chinese temple is so beautiful and very unique with its design and architectures. Pleasant to visit for short praying session.

Hong San Si has been aroind since 1848 and is an impressive Chinese (Hokkein) Temple at the end of historic Carpenter Street. It was the most elaborate of the Chinese temples seen in Kuching and features elaborate dragons on its roof.
