CPH travel helped to arrange a multi-day wildlife tour. We did the overnight stay on Satang Island to see turtles, the Irawaddy Dolphin Cruise to see dolphins and the Proboscis monkey and the Semenggoh Wildlife Reserve for the orangutans. You are pretty much guaranteed to see orangutans up close in their natural habitat (without invading their personal space). CPH did not guarantee that we would see turtles, dolphins or monkeys as nature is unpredictable. However, we were incredibly lucky on all fronts and happy to say it was all down to CPH staff (and a little bit of luck).
I cannot recommend Satang Island enough. James was particularly fantastic and was a fountain of information on local wildlife. The only way for even a chance to see turtles would be to stay overnight on the island. Accommodations are very basic and may not be as well equipped as you’re used to. You’ll also be woken up at 2am because that’s when mother turtles arrive to lay their eggs. If you’re lucky, you’ll get to witness the workers in action who work overnight to monitor, tag and record the turtles that visit and collect the eggs for the hatchery. Surprisingly, we saw 4 turtles (green and hawksbill varieties) lay their eggs.
Unfortunately we were rained out the next day which cut into our dolphin cruise. Dolphins are better found in the early morning but the storm lasted several hours and made it unsafe for us to be on the water. The staff were kind enough to provide us an extra meal while we waited on the island. By the time we left, it was well past noon. However, the storm turned out to be a blessing. Baby turtles usually hatch in the evening when it’s cooler but the storm cooled the temperature considerably and just as we were preparing to leave, baby turtles appeared in the hatchery!
We spontaneously rearranged our tour schedule and did the dolphin cruise before returning to our hotel. We got to see many proboscis monkeys but only a few glimpses of dolphins. We weren’t too disappointed though (I mean, baby turtles).
The Semenggoh Wildlife Centre is guaranteed to deliver so highly recommended to those interested in seeing semi-wild orangutans.
CPH was amazing during our entire 3 days with them. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Thank you so much for this excellent review and taking your time to compose it. We have passed on this appreciation to James and he is as thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the entire experience as much as he did.

On our stay in Kuching in July we did a number of trips with CPH tours and they were all top notch. The guides we had know the areas they were guiding us through mlike the back of their hands and pointed out wild life we would have missed had we done the trips on our own. A special thank you to Don who we had on three of our trips as he was outstanding at spotting wildlife. We would never have spotted the flying lemur sleeping high up in a tree in Bako National Park on our own. In Bako we also saw silverleaf monkeys with a baby, proboscios monkeys with a baby, bearded pigs and a monitor lizard. Don also went above and beyond in the Fairy caves and wind caves finding a green pit viper, lizards, cave crickets, horned spiders, cave begonias and pitcher plants in addition to the the swallows nesting in the caves and many types of bats in the caves he was able to point out to us. On the wetlands wild life tour Don was able to point out to us not only crocodiles, irrawady dolphins, kingfishers, Brahminy kites, egrets, mudskippers and fiddler crabs. We also did trips to the Semenggoh Nature reserve where we saw 8 Orangutans which included 2 babies. We also did a trip to the cultural centre and an evening trip in the wetlands where we had a picnic on the boat at sunset before seeing the fireflies in the wetlands in the dark. Our final trip was to Satang Island with snorkelling. We loved every minute of these experiences and would highly recommend CPH guided wildlife tours. Had we stayed in Borneo longer we would have done more trips. I guess we will have to come back to do some of the others we ran out of time to do.

It was a great trip to Bako National Park with a friendly and highly energetic Guide Aiman. The well preserved forest and wonderful guide allowed us to see the flora and fauna in their most natural environment. It was a an interaction with the wild animals no other trips I have been to. The local guide was not just knowledgeable but was caring for our safety. Thank you so much for this memorable experience.
We are so inspired that we booked another trip to Satubong wildlife cruise to have more sighting of dolphins, crocodiles, small ikans and more proboscis monkeys. Again, we were greeted another experienced, caring and friendly guide.
I would highly recommend CPH Travels anyone who want to experience Kuching, Sarawak in it finest.

Just back from Borneo. We did not have a lot of time in Borneo so we wanted to absorb as much as possible.
From the Pickup at arrival to drop off back at airport these guys were 100% reliable and knowledgeable.
Started with Kurching City Tour 3 hours with James walking us through the city , great guide, very knowledgeable and what a smile
Day 2 Semenggoh Orangutangs and sunset cruise with Kim , Brilliant. He also imparted his extended knowledge of the tribes histories on the island with our visit to Sarawak culture centre (Day 4) He also advised us to do BAKO National park (Day 3), what a great day with Don. His passion for wildlife was as hot as the weather and the scenery. He delivered sightings of the bearded pigs the silver leaf and Macque monkies and the only sighting of the day for the Probiscus and also the flying Lemur. How do they spot these things hiding in trees is beyond me. Chuck in a couple of adders and a load of catfish
To finish off we did the night time wildlife cruise (Apologies names escape me) . The captain of the boat (Irrawiddy 9) again very knowledgaeble and knew exactly where to find what we signed up for. Crocodiles , River Dolphins, Silver leaf Monkies and 2 troops of Probiscus Monkies signing of for the night with the fireflies.
If you have the opportunity to use these guys then I highly recommend that you do. FANTASTIC

Great 3d2n tour to Batang Ai. The guide Antoni was great and had a professional approach and a good cook . The local host at the longhouse was friendly and exiting to socialize with. The accommodation was very basic and authentic but they had made it a bit more comfortable than the local apartments in the longhouse. I loved it.
The day trip was amazing and fun.
I booked it trough “Paradesa Borneo” agency - don’t do that. They just forward the booking to CPH and charge something extra for that service (however, Paradesa are great for day trips in Kuching area).

Upon our arrival in Kuching, we were welcomed by Mr. Richard and he was very helpful in recommending on what we can do for the next 3 days in Sarawak while he was driving. My Mom requested to proceed to his office, CPH Travel in Jalan Padungan to arrange them. Upon arriving at his office, His colleague by the name Salvia and Mulan work out a great plan and quotation for the next 3 days' private tour. The area that Richard brought us was to the Santubong, Satang Island, Dolphin Watching, and Mangrove tour for the first day and the very next day He continue to take us to the Borneo Cultural Museum, then to Bau, the fairy cave, where we did some climbing and spotted so many bats, then proceed to the Paku Rock Maze, and last but not least is Siniawan the ancient Night Market. That is where we had our dinner there and Mr. Richard gave a lot's recommendations on what to try other than the Sarawak Kolo Noodles.
Sarawak Borneo boat ride by CPH Travel, This river boat ride features the river ride through the Sarawak river overlooking to the Santubong Mountain, and dolphin watching. Our guide Mr. Richard and the boatman, En. Ramlan spotted a school of dolphins and we saw it relatively before we head to the Bird Island, and all the way out to the South China Sea, the Satang Island. Satang Island is a turtle conservation island where the turtle lays their eggs there. We can even do the swimming and snorkeling there too. Last but not least, our guide Mr. Richard and the boatman, Ramlan again spotted a Salt Water Crocodile at the end of our ride before we head back to the Sarawak Boat Club Dock. This is the greatest bonus for our boat ride tour. What a true Borneo experience by the CPH Travel. My family and I really enjoy the tour so much with the guidance from Mr. Richard.
Keep up the great work !!!!! Mr. Richard, Salvia, Mulan, and the rest of the CPH Travel team. We will recommend your tour product and services to our friends and other families. Double Thumbs up to all of you. This is such an incredible Borneo experience.

Our hotel offered a tour package for us and we chose to view the orang utan in semenggoh eventhough it's a 50:50 chance. I got Kim as my tour guide and he arrived on time, drive carefully and really entertaining all the way through the drive to semenggoh (around 1 hours from my hotel).
He explained a lot of things about Kuching and also the centre itself, arrange the ticket, and telling story about the orang utan in the centre. Also he knows the tip about the centre, so we wait and got the best view for the orang utan. We saw 3 of them, quite lucky and he also brought binocular to help us see faraway. 10/10 will recommend this tour and Kim

I would like to thank our tour guide Mr. Antoni from CPH Travel for a great service. We had enjoyable experience in Sarawak. He spent his time just to make sure that we can buy our cake Lapis and ikan terubuk masin. Kuching Waterfront was a beautiful place to relax while walking along the river especially in the evening. Amazing lightnings, beautiful fountain show and Darul Hana Bridge. Thank you again.

Despite being 24 hours late arriving in kuching our tour guide for the first four days, Richard was there to greet us with a cheery smile.
Richard then proceeded to book us on an evening cruise along the river shortly after we had checked in at the pullman Hotel ( excellent hotel by the way)
Day 2 started with a trip to siri amein for a 2 night stay visiting places of interest along the way
Day 3 was an amazing trip by boat to the long house. Fascinating.
Day 4, the highlight so far was a visit to semmagong nature reserve which Richard added on to the tour as a bonus. Utterly fantastic to see the Orangutans in their natural habitat.
All in all a fantastic tour organised by chp travel so far ( with more to come).
A special mention to Richard. A very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who went out of his way to point out and explain many of the land marks and history in Sarawak.
Would definitely recommend

We stayed at the Nanga Ukom longhouse for 3 days and 2 nights and it was honestly incredible. If you are considering going, I would strongly recommend staying for 2 nights instead of one, as you get more out of the experience, like visiting the waterfall, but you also get to know the residents a lot more. Our guide Don was amazing!!! And on the second night we were joined by James and his guests. Don and James both have a huge amount of knowledge and you can tell they care about the community, as well as Sarawak itself. Also, the food is amazing!! Such a great experience!

It seem that we have to pay upfront for the tour from CPH. Is it wise for me to do so or perhaps it is better to book the tour when i arrive in kuching

They are a reputable company. If the particular date you want is inflexible then book in advance, otherwise, so so when you get to Kuching.
