Whilst the cultural and natural beauty are amongst the key reasons to visit this city, one should experience the unique and authenticity of Sarawakian food, rarely found in West Malaysia. The must have's include kolo mee (noddles), fu-cha burger, Sarawak laksa, tomato mee(noddles), popiah, "cucur udang", and dumplings. Don't forget to compliment your food with the iced 3-layered tea. The hills and mountains fascinated me. I liked to talk to them though they are Malaysians like me, but they have a different slang in speaking the malay language and differenty cultures of their ancestors. They are very friendly. The cleanliness around. The beautiful beaches and the Mt. Santubong area.

We started our 2 weeks holiday in Borneo by the "Food, food, food" tour and it was a very good day. James is a very interesting guide, passionated by caving and having a good knowledge about Sarawak. The cooking with the 2 local ladies in their village's home was our favorite moment of the day, even if the visit of the... More

Selected lunch ingredients and met local Bidayuh food and cultural advisor Mary. Taken to family home to watch host Leo prepare lunch. With mouths watering we left Mary, Leo and her family cooking while we... More
