Accidentally came across this building after I jogged in the new Kompleks Dewan Undangan Negeri. it was already closed because I reached there around 6.30pm. looks nice from the outside because of its on-top-of-a-small-hill, facing the river, unique architectural features, and lighting. it'd be nicer...More

I saw this from the water when I did a river cruise. It is not open to the public unfortunately. It was built was a wedding present to his wife.

it is located opposite the riverbank. it looks like a castle. the architecture is like a small palace. it maintains its white colour. It was built by James Brooke. the compound is well maintained with its greenery.

You can get a lovely view of this building for the opposite side of the river. Hard to miss! As it is a residential building still you cannot go inside.

We hired a taxi and went to Astana but we had to see it from the outside as visitors were not allowed to go inside without prior permission.

You can see this building clearly from the opposite side of the river. Astana is the official residence of the Yang Dipertua Negeri Sarawak. A grand, big and quite an imposing landmark.

This building is located across the river. You can take the pictures of this building from the Kuching Waterfront. Or across the river by a public small boat to get other views. Just for information, behind this building, there is an orchid garden.
