This square white tower from the colonial era on the waterfront was originally meant to be a prison and later became a fortress. It is not open to the public but you can walk around it and take some photographs.

This is one of the famous icons along the Kuching waterfront, a remnant of colonial history from the Brooke era. Though it is not opened to the public, its still a photo opportunity of an interesting architecture of Kuching's colonial heritage.

You can take a photo and read the info but I am sure it is better to see inside - simply was not open. I think it is best done with a full city tour and walk as you get the story of where it...More

Looks like a small fort but it was build for the Brooks wife and much later converted to a prison. There is a restaurant at the ground floor now. Worth a visit as it is located at the river bank.

Near to waterfront, behind it you can see the DUN. You can go down near to the river and capture a picture with a crocodile statue.

Stands proud on the waterfront. It has had some restoration since i last saw it. Do check your guidebooks for its main historic description. I might be wrong but I think it may be a restaurant now
