A shocking and frightening experience!
We walked down the well known Carpenter St in Kuching to have a drink before dinner. We didn’t feel like a beer ( our usual go to) but opted for a Long Island Iced tea- each. It was served in a large beer glass and tasted very chemical-y. When we finished we got up to order a Grab and felt very strange.
We arrived for our dinner reservation at a lovely restaurant and neither have any memory of the experience and apparently were incoherent and stumbling because the kind folks at the next table realised we were in trouble and kindly ordered us a grab to our hotel. Our dinner tab was quite small and our credit cards and cash are uncompromised.
A warning to travelers ( especially young who might be tempted to stay on) please stick to bottled alcohol. This was quite possibly cheap home made wood alcohol. The experience has ruined a trip for older ( very experienced) travelers

Staff are friendly, good services & one thing i like is the music also we can request music or sing song there.

There was nothing much to do here rather than sit, eat fries and watched the cars passed by. The songs they played was my worst nightmare. Never again!

Another great spot for a drink! trendy decor, great atmosphere and setting and friendly staff. We watch the Chinese New Year Parade from here with a few drinks, was fantastic.

Came across this Bar in Carpenter st. What a find ! A fabulous old building converted into an awesome bar with a great vibe. A good range of beer and cocktails for reasonable prices.
Ramsaye the manager is a huge asset to this place. Sitting for a chat about the building and many other interesting things around Kuching.
Drop in for a drink. You will not be sorry !

Decent bar in Old Street. Drinks are reasonable and they play decent music. A much better find than The Drunken Monkey bar down the road.

We were recommended this place. Located on the Chinese street, very close to the waterfront. They have many selections of drinks. Food is only finger food and some local noodles. Price is reasonable.

Found this little bar on the back street in Kuching, it was very hot and so went into get a cold beer and some air con!! Delighted with this place, had a beer and crisps and sat by door watching the world go by. The staff were lovely and friendly too, worth popping in definitely.

The staff are very attentive and the drinks reasonably priced. They have the English premier league playing for anyone wanting a sports fix. Snacks are available. All areas of the bar are smoking though.

located along the pub st. a very relaxing place to chill out and have some good beer, music and atmosphere. the serve really good cold beers. staff are friendly and cheerful. wide range of drinks and the music at its right tempo. a small and comfortable joint.
