3 in 1 Combo Satang Island Day Trip

Drive from Kuching for about 45 minutes in the direction of Santubong or Damai area. Board a small boat (12 capacity of passengers) and begin your cruise to the mouth of the Salak River. You should be able to spot the elusive and rare schools of Irrawaddy dolphins which are quite common in this area. Our boatman will stop nearby Bird Island to see the sea birds before proceeding to Satang Island.

Head out to the South China Sea for Satang Island. The island is part of the Satang National Park where a turtle conservation project is located on the island. Green Turtles and the rare Hawksbill Turtles often lay their eggs here. Look in on the hatchery to get an idea of conservation work being carried out on these highly endangered sea creatures.

Spend time on the island's white sandy beach or go snorkelling. You will be able to enjoy the corals and the marine life in the crystalline waters of the island.

Excellent experience with wonderful tour guide Mr. David and his partner. They were very helpful and flexible. We spot pod of dolphins swimming around before they took us to the wetland and the bird Island. The Satang Island itself are so beautiful as the water are pretty clear. Lots of friendly fishes. We were very lucky to have a perfect weather the whole trip.

We enjoyed all of it!There was variety (Kuching's surrounds and countryside, river cruise, sea rocks,trecking...)and beautiful views. The guides were perfect : punctual,dedicated,knowledgeable...a trip thatr can be recommended for all (one warning :even if there was only a "medium difficulty" trecking ,it might be too much for people with mobility problems)

We had a brilliant experience- traveled up a river village and boarded a boat which took us along the river and out to the open sea and up to the Sea Stack rock formations. There were fascinating. Then we came ashore and trekked up and down through the forest although it seemed like jungle to us!) Although there were only 7 on the tour, we had two great guides Ganie and Musa. Ganie lead the trek and was multi lingual and very amusing and Musa brought up the rear. He was very supportive and kind to my wife would is not very steady on her feet. The guides showed us lots of wildlife including a wild boar, catfish, Long Tail Macca monkeys and the fantastic Proboscis monkeys. It was a great day out and would recommend it to everyone - all ages etc.

It was a perfect day with a group of 7 people including us plus 2 guides and they took us through the forest, jungle and mangrove while also going to amazing rocks in the sea by boat. Good price for a 7 hour trip, learned a lot and also doable for inexperienced people. Highly recommend!
