Very hot if going during the day (due to concrete floor).
The whole setup is nothing much to shout about.
Been there, done that, not going again.

A small botanical garden on the roof of a large shopping mall. A nice walk around for the family. Definately worth a visit for the family visiting the mall.

It was as sweet as your dream garden. You will be accompanied by blooming flowers and fresh greenness. The fact that it is located at the rooftop of a shopping mall made it even more convenient to visit. Good touch by the mall.

The name secret garden is a perfect description of this place. It is located on the roof of a five and a half million square feet shopping mall and requires both perseverance and detective work to find it. However, once there you feel miles away from the packed mall below and the surrounding urban areas. Ideal for partners that want to escape the relentless tour of the mall!!

The Secret Rooftop Garden at 1 Utama Shopping Mall is a hidden gem. Situated above the crowded and noisy, one of the largest malls in Malaysia, is a beautiful garden filled to the brim with flora. It really is like the eye of the storm, where its beautiful and quiet and takes you away from everything else, even the thought of you actually being in the city of Petaling Jaya.
It only opens on weekends to public visitors and they also do occasional tours and explanations to groups of people if you are interested. If you are not and just one to walk through it by yourselves then its great too. There are many species of flora here with some of them being quite unique and rare to see in Malaysia (at least its hard to spot when you go outdoors). But what makes this place so great is that it is truly underrated. It may just sound like another rooftop garden but it really isn't. Its scenic and relaxing with benches to sit and relax and spots for Instagrammers to pose and take pictures. Its not that small either. It spans a good area and is completely filled with flora everywhere you look. There are small man made ponds and waterfalls for lilies and the hydrophillic plants to live. Its a beautiful place to be and you really need to visit if you feel like the mall is too stuffy and you need a breath of fresh air.
Conclusion; It is an underrated attraction near the Mutiara Damansara area where it is a nice breath of fresh air amongst the bustling office areas and malls. It is beautiful and well maintained, quite spacious area to just relax on a weekend with friends and family. Is it the greatest rooftop garden? Not by a longshot, but because of how well executed everything is and how well they maintain and even make it as good as it is, needs the attention. They did a great thing here and its a place you need to visit.

I am a regular 1 Utama shopper and have always seen The Secret Garden being advertised but never bothered to check it out. So glad that I finally did. It's a great way to spend some time away from the crowd of the shopping mall. It is a quiet rooftop garden with a large variety of plants and flowers. There are some benches around to sit and enjoy the greenery. There are also some lovely photo spots as well. It is well maintained and the whole place is beautiful. There is only 1 lift that take you to this garden so look out for it. Definitely worth visiting. It is also free

The Secret Garden was even better than we were hoping for, and clearly a project that is full of love and care. It is full of beauty and wonderful plants and flowers that made for a much needed reprieve from the hustle and chaos all around it. And it's free of charge. Think this will be a regular when some natural colour and beauty is needed.

It is located on the top floor of 1 Utama shopping mall and it has a huge collection of plants and flowers. I visited it along with a friend in the afternoon and it was hot, so could not explore it fully. It's better to go there in the evening. There is no entrance fee but there are very few visitors inside when we went there.

The garden is on the top floor of One Utama and only opens on weekends.
The garden is very well maintained and has a lot of interesting plants. It is not too crowded and pleasant to walk around. There are even six recommended Instagram spots.
If you need a break from the mall, you can easily spend 30 minutes here for relaxation.

Hi, is the garden open everyday? And how to get there from inside mall?
Roger C

Yes. It is open every day. There are signs on the ground floor directing to it until you reach what looks like a service lift. This will take you directly to the garden.
ada kena bayar duit tiket ke? kalau ada, berapa rm?
