Places look very new and clean. Staff will very professional and friendly. They have a few package so do check with the staff. We went for continuous 2 day. (first day the 55rm package that allow us to try 3 wall and next day the abc package) totally love the vibe and staff there and there is a small cafe for you to take a break inbetween the climb.

The best place and the best type of workout ever! I’ve been to a few gyms before and tried all kinds of workouts (workout machines, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, spinning classes, you name it!) but none of them give me the same results in a short period of time like rock climbing. And Camp5 One Utama really has everything you need for a good workout. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, facilities are very useful and the location is great! As a mom of 3, it does get tricky to stay fit and going for rock climbing every now and then, helps keep my strength and stamina going. Thank you Camp 5! You.Are.Awesome!

My niece asked if I wanted to join her
rock climbing at Camp5, One Utama. Initially I told her that I would think about.
Then I decided, what the heck, let's just
do it!!! Being in my 50s doesn't mean
that's it to some excitement!
Best decision ever! Had a great time!
We chose to go on the best day as Wednesdays are apparently the quietest
day for them. And indeed it was!
We went for the Taster Session which was 1 hour of climbing with an instructor and all necessary gear included.
The Instructor was very good and guided us
throughout.
We did a total of 5 walls in that hour with the
highest being 13-15 meters!
A very successful try out!!! And next week
my niece and I are going to sign up
for the 4hour Basic Wall Course!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 CAMP5!!!

We got ticked off too harshly and arrogantly for a particular reason that we were not aware of, we left, they also dont bother and sniggered at us. its a win win situation i guess. from them good riddance to us and from us, the experience gave us a good example to our children on how to treat people with respect.
from 2 families with 7 children & 5 of them are below 10.

We are avid rock climbers, both indoor & out. We boulder & it's been a long time since I learned belay. Checked out the website, looked good so we headed out. After an hour of travel via train then taxi. We were rejected. We were asked by the woman at reception if we know how to belay. We said no, as we only boulder. She notified us that we could not enter, as it's an open gym that has belay & bouldering, so unless we know how to belay, we cannot go in just to boulder! There's nothing that mentions this on their website. She said we should have called & gave us a smirk. Not a good experience.

When I first got to camp5 over a year ago I was just accompanying a friend of mine who wanted to try. I didn't expect to come back. We signed up for a basic course which we found very informative and fun at the same time. Since they teach you how to belay next time you can come and climb without any assistance. So we decided to try again and since then I'm a regular there.
I have taken another course to improve my climbing skills and it dramatically changed the way I climb. Now I enjoy every move when I realise it has been done consciously and technically correct. Off course there is always room for improvement but this place managed to make me love climbing and encouraged me to push myself harder every time I come.
As for the gym itself I find an entrance fee is a bit expensive if you pay for every visit but if you plan to climb at least once a week ask the staff about their membership plans. It becomes MUCH cheeper. Having visited climbing gyms in other counties I must say that I haven't seen better (I've been to just 3 or 4 other gyms though). I like the fact they renew routes every once in a while, it's important for someone who comes at least twice a week.
Having been a member for over a year now I have nothing to complain. The staff is always nice and helpful, cafeteria has a good selection of healthy food and snacks, the gym is very child friendly and there is enough space for everyone. Oh, forgot, I bought my harness there - good price)

Caught a train and then bus to camp 5 from china town. Went alone and just wanted to do some bouldering. The whole place looked pretty impressive heaps of lead climbing routes. The reason I was disappointed was that I just didnt think the boulder problems were any good. If your charging 30 ringit to boulder I think the routes should atleast have a start and finish mark and all the same color holds for grades or well marked. They give you a piece of paper with all problems on it and you have to find them some of the colours are really close and I asked a local and he said yer hard to tell. Really average route setting compared to say some bouldering gyms in uk and australia. Might go again if passing through and have climbing partner.

This is a fantastic place for the whole family. Camp 5 is well equipped. They take safety seriously and you can be rest assured that the friendly and attentive staff will look out for you and be on hand to help you.
It also has a pretty healthy cafe with really good coffee.

Good place for beginners to learn and veterans to hone their climbing skills. Do take note on their requirement of knowing how to belay before you can enter the gym.

Is walk-in allowed? Do I need to rent all the gears if I don't have any of them?
Written 28 August 2018
Hi Edmond, walk-in accepted. Gears available for rent. For 1st timer, it's mandatory to attend their introduction course. For seasoned climbers, they would still require the person to show some form of proof that an internationally recognised safety course was taken before allowing access to premise.
