5th time now at this track and nothing has changed I love it. I have been to tracks all over Europe and this is still my favourite. It is well run with great access from the centre of kl.
It’s also great value for money with good viewing. It’s very hot and humid and gets crowded but this is Asia.
I will be back next year!

Only can reach via highway, you need to hire a cab or rent a car in order to come here. Need to pay for parking. Disappointed that we cannot go inside the circuit to see, marathon only happened at outside. We only can use the toilet, the male toilet has many urine bowls (really, many), but only few bathrooms which are unable to cope with marathon event.

While the course is not used for F1 at the present time, our tour guide, Nik, did an outstanding job! She personally took us everywhere on the course. Her details were wonderful. We live in hometown of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and now we want a tour just like Nik gave us. Such a great tour. Thank you Nik!

I did the circuit tour they offer just after New Year's and I would surely recommend this tour. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and will do everything that you will get the best tour you can get. I was picked up at the track because I was in the wrong spot and we stopped at various stops as long as we wanted. We had a looked at the main grandstand, the grandstand in turn 1, the big suite, race control, media center, track office, and the podium. Super relaxed and chill atmosphere and you get to see many cool things. We also stopped at the karting track and raced for a bit. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing experience! Access to all sections of the main grandstand. Good variety of food. And not least: the amazingly friendly and helpful people - staff and guests alike!

Location is about a 40 min drive from AVANI Sepang. We were able to get a driver for 100 MYR.

We arrived just before 10am and were the only people there. The tour goes for 1 hour and then includes a 10 min Go-Kart ride on a separate track to the race cars.
The price for the 4 of us when we visited was 356 MYR.

We ended up having 3 guides in the mini bus with us. (Not sure that is normal) but between them, they were able to answer all of our questions during the tour.

They have 150 staff employed who are the ones who have to organise all of the logistics each time they have a race scheduled.

Our first stop was the Perdana Suites. This includes an area where that has a workshop for each of the teams to use when they stay. It has accommodation for the drivers and mechanics towards the back and the workshops are right by pit lane. While we visited, we were lucky enough to see some cars from an Australian Team that had raced the previous weekend. There were no drivers or crew around, but it was great to be able to see what might go on behind the scenes.

Next was the finish line and Podium. We found out that under the finish line there is a sensor and that each car has a chip installed so when they go over, the race lap times are recordered and that's what we see on the TV.

Next was the Media Centre. It can fit up to 470 people from all around the world. Unfortunately the day we visited, there was a conference being held for a race that was happening the coming weekend, so we couldn't stay in there very long. It was pretty cool to be able to stand on the podium and get a few pics though.

Next was the K1 Grandstand. 60% of the track can be seen from this stand. During high meet races, tickets can cost between 1000-2000 MYR. It is the 3rd most popular place to sit.

While we visited, there was a company who had arranged a Team Building day for their staff. It included the staff being able to go around the track with a professional driver in a Ferrari. We were lucky enough to be able to watch a few fast laps from the grandstand.

We got back to the souvenier shop (as you always end up at the end of a tour) around 11.20am. So our hour tour ended up being almost 1.5 hours :)

They handed us 4 caps and 4 photos (taken on our arrival which we thought we would have to pay for). No all of it was given to us without expectation of payment. Not sure if included in entry price but it was still a great surprise. The caps were leftover from the previous weeks racing.

Then to the Go-Karting. I was apprehensive as I had never done it before but the 3 boys couldn't wait. We did what they classify as a Series 1. 6.5 HP, 60-70 km/h, 4 stroke and 200cc. (Had no idea what that meant) but ended up having a great time for 10 min. Got faster and faster with each lap. Once we finished, the boys wanted to go again but something a little faster. They ended doing what is called a Series 2. 16 HP, 90-100km/h, 2 stroke and 100cc. It cost an additional 106 MYR pp for 10 min.

There is a small grandstand located at the track if you don't want to participate. There is also a drink vending machine if you get thirsty. 320ml can was 2.20 MYR when we were there.

While I didn't notice any extra safety aspects when I went out, I did notice there were 2 guys on a motorbike just wondering back and forth making sure the boys were ok when they went out.

When it's time to come in, they raise a yellow flag and guide you where to enter to get back to the pits.

Our driver collected us from the track and took us back to the entrance so we could go through the car museum. It is located right next to where you get your tour tickets. We were running out of time, so didn't read all of the information that was available.

Ended up leaving around 12.30pm but could of spent an extra 30 min to do the museum justice.

All up we spent 2.5 hours there plus 40 min travel time each way.

5th time in as many years and unfortunately the prices have risen really sharply for VIP tickets at the Moto GP race weekend in November.

The VIP lounge is moved every year a bit further away towards the end of the Pit Box stalls.
This year Aprilia sealed of a large part of the upper deck, which used to be open for all VIP card holders. This is not acceptable to have just a little space left for us while private VIP arrangements with manufacturers take most of the upper deck causing long walks between the VIP lounge and the upper deck.

The Lounge has been upgraded a little with some improvements in food supply and design/seating.

The staff is still very friendly - especially at the entrance - always happy to see Emmy again - she's very helpful.
The service staff is soso - some are well trained but mostly they use young staff who have no clue on how to provide a professional service in a VIP lounge.

The race course is still in very good shape, the action is very good as always

To the Management: there is room for improvement especially looking at the new competition in Buriram and upcoming in Lombok.

Despite all of our group like the event and the race track, we give an average rating for the reasons mentioned above - reduce service and increase prices every year will keep our group certainly away if not reversed.

Visited with no limits for a once in a lifetime opportunity t experience riding this special circuit.

The three days on track here with no limits far exceeded my expectations. The facilities and staff at this venue are far superior to any back in the uk!!

Would I return? Without a seconds thought!! Love you guys.

Pit boxes have plenty of UK Type G 3pin square plug power sockets, are spacious and the whole layout is pretty stunning. The riders enjoyed the track. There is free wifi in and around the press suite. The downside of this is that everything is F1 priced. If you knew where there was a table shop you'd buy one rather than rent one from the circuit! Price for an airconditioned room was astronomical so they all just stood empty. I can only assume that the circuit totally misjudged the budgets that endurance teams run at in comparison to WSB, Moto-GP, F1, etc. However, it's one of the most scenic circuits in the world without a doubt. The track itself dries really badly and is still completely wet when everything else has dried. The staff are all super friendly but the variety on offer in the rather swanky buffet restaurant is minimal. 2 choices and a bit of salad, that's about it. But for all the moans you just can't rate this circuit as anything other than 5 spots!
