Easy access from KL Sentral to KLIA2 via Ekspres, and quick check in and immigration clearance. Lots of dinning options “public side” but once you pass through security clearance the options are woeful! 😔 I get that airports have been through tough times and so too good outlets, but a bit of warning for the lack of options currently on the “airside” would be useful!

Huge airport very poorly designed. While there is an abundance of shops, eats and a lounge landside, before security, it is dead after security and immigration. Be prepared to walk for 20 minutes to a second security gate, then another 15 minutes to find nothing but plastic seats at your gate. As for check-in, our lineup was at least 100 people long with 2 very confused, newbie agents processing passengers on their cellphones at a rate of about one passenger per 20 minutes. No additional staff were called in to help until an hour had passed - then just one more! This all may be part of post-pandemic woes, but AirAsia needs to step up their game at KLIA2.

I am very grateful to their staffs of Igadget. I left my passport and wallet by accident. But fortunately, they found and returned it to me. Their honesty was commendable. Furthermore, the items I bought from them satisfied my needs. I really enjoy buying from them. Lastly, I would recommend people to go and visit their shop( igadget) at KLIA 2.

I’m surprised that there is very limited food outlets after the security. Whereas before the security, there is plenty. Makes you wonder who actually this outlets are catering to. For outbound passengers who wants to make sure they had enough food before flight or inbound passengers who after landing hasn’t had enough of the airport? Maybe dine before heading home after tiring journey. Probably as it is low cost, airlines wants to make revenue from forcing passengers to buy food in the flight.

Hi,

On 22/10/2021, I arrived KLIA 2 to check in with my wife for our flight from KL to Kota Bharu. Our flight is scheduled at 10am, so we arrived earlier around 850am to check in.

We tried to check in via the kiosks but the process was very complicated and slow. We were required to scan our vaccination certificates and the system wasn't able to capture it. There was a female crew helping the us to do it, but she had too many ppl to help with so she was kind of occupied. So after approximately 15 minutes of attempt, still slow, loading and unloading, suddenly the system shown the check in was closed.

So, we had no choice and to proceed to the check in counter and hope the counter can assist us to check in manually.

The crew that attended to us was an Indian male around 30 to 40 years old. While he attending to us, there was another Malay female crew at her 20s came and sort of flirting with him and face sticking to his face and talked softly to his ear, they were smiling, talking and ignored us for briefed seconds.

He proceed to check for us, and told us the system is closed and he couldn't check in for us. So we told him we actually arrived earlier to check in via kiosks, but the system was lousy (I guess KLIA management knows it's problem). He continued to question us why don't we get help from the female crew earlier on. We replied we did but it wasn't helpful and she was busying attending other customers as well so we didn't blame the girl. Then, he gave lousy reply saying "oh because the girl is new, but you are now late and system is closed, you all have to pay RM40 as penalty". He said it in a playful/teasing manner. So, my wife started an argument with him again about us not being late and system stuff etc. Chicken and egg again. My wife also commented he was rude during the whole conversation. Conclusion, he didn't care and he still replied "oh I'm rude? You should.." At this point, my wife already being emotional and started tearing. So this was where I could not hold my temper anymore, and I shouted to that guy "Just shut up, and proceed". Only then, he did the work for us without running his mouth again. We did pay for the RM 40 penalty. To be frank, I don't really care about RM40, if proper reason is given.

This is my first time writing wrong email to file a complain. I have been working in banking industry for many years, I handle customers on daily basis. I know when is the employee fault and when is the customer just being fussy. I wasn't being fussy at all, I am a reasonable person.

I hope KLIA 2 management retrain it's staffs and improve the quality. With reopening of cross border travel, there is going to be huge crowds, with this kind of qualify, KLIA2 is going to face huge problem and lead to more unhappy customers, eventually more complains.

This is a very large and clean airport. This airport consists of two different parts that are connected by train. When you fly, be very careful not to go to the wrong terminal. The airport to the city center is approximately one hour by taxi. There are many shops to buy souvenirs, chocolates, perfumes, etc. The weakness of this airport is that there are not enough seats to sit. Of course, there are a number of cafes and restaurants.

Flew through KLIA2 several times whilst travelling around Malaysia. Well designed facility with plenty of retail and food options.
Airport staff were very helpful on each occasion.

There are lots of domestic arrivals to klia2 at night, many want a trip to kl sentral and there are NO BUSES. Reason is its one hour 1 bus and is all full.
Will airasia/klia2 do the right thing. If u hv night flights, have enough night buses for the passengers. Urgent.

Many stores for shopping, and with good variety of food. KFC and Texas Chicken are my most favorite restaurants here. Don't forget to buy some Garrett Popcorn as souvenir. KLIA Transit / Express terminal is located just inside the mall. The best convenient way to go to KL city centre.
