Really interesting and well worth a visit

We visited as a family (ages ranging from 13 to 68) and we were all fascinated and spent ages here - far longer than we anticipated. We recommend it.

Provides a really good insight to the exploration of the country by the massacring German colonalists. A very good museum.

We visited the museum (almost as an afterthought...we'd really planned on going), with our 3 boys, ages 12, 9 and 9. This is a small but wonderful museum and is really worth a visit, even though it only takes 1—2 hours to see the whole thing. The price of admission is a steal, 90 Namibian Dollars for all 5 of... The museum is small and very cheap to enter, $30 per adult. Sadly it clearly hasn't been invested in for a while. Whilst some exhibits are well made and enjoyable others are quite dated and clearly not been touched in decades. It's a good thing to do if you are bored and have nothing else planned for the day, however... More

Well worth a visit and very cultural. A collective mix of people and their history. Easy to find along the waterfront.

Really good place to pass away an hour in fantastic Swakopmund. Some museums are boring, but not this one. Suitable for all age ranges and great to get a little more information about the place you are visiting. Recommended.

Very interesting museum with a varied collection, from history to fauna and flora. It's not especially big but you get a very good overview of many things in Namibia. Recommended!

The museum has wonderful exhibits of stuffed life-size animals, a huge ox-wagon and many types of examples of insects, fish, stones and snakes. The history and cultural items are well explained. You can easily expect to spend 2 hours at this well-cared for and user-friendly educational museum.

Among the best museums I have been too. It's filled with lots of history in terms of culture, africa, people and innovations. I had a deep learning experience. I must say it was a fantastic 3 hours spent in the museum.
