Sandwich Harbour is a part of the Namib Naukluft Park (Namibia) many have heard of but very few have ever visited. Giant sand dunes run straight into the ocean, creating breathtaking sceneries and a unique off road driving experience. Our vehicles take you to beautiful lookouts where you can feel the isolation Namibia and the Skeleton Coast are so famous for! We offer full and have day trips to Sandwich Harbour, as well as combination tours with Boat trips and Kayaking.

Real off-reading in, for us, a traditional LandRover. No air-conditioning, soft suspension, no power steering, no electric Windows. So exciting. Driving up and down the most humungus mountains of sand and racing along the beach. The waves non-stop, rolling crests crashing in on the shore like galloping horses. Flamingoes, springboks, ostriches, jackals, one inquisitive seal and one small gecko made... More

Nissan Ranger 4.8 with deflated tyres was our chariot. The driver guide was a true addict of dune driving and encouraged by a Swiss front seat girl passenger showed us all the tricks to make a voyage at a fairground switch-back utterly tame. But he knew where to find the wild life too. Lizards hidden under the sand, the Dune... More

Took a 4x4 from the port along the waterfront to view the thousands of flamingos then headed to the desert dunes. We climbed up and down the dunes and witnessed quite a lot of wildlife, including: Ostrich, jackals, springbok and oryx. We also enjoyed a food and drink stop in the desert which was much appreciated. All in all a... More

We did the full day tour to sandwich harbor with Herman and loved every second of it! We were lucky and were the only guests on that day. The guide was very funny and knew everything about the area! We stopped at different viewpoints, saw different animals and had the most perfect lunch right at the beach! Also vegetarian options... More

For bird and wildlife enthusiasts the Walvis Bay Waterfront, promenade and trip to the Salt Pans is absolutely beautiful with thousands of waders, flamingoes and pelicans to be viewed in the tidal flats between the desert and sea. Truly beautiful part of the world and a must to be included ina tour of Namibia.

We made a tour last week for watch Seals + Desert Dunes. Referring the desert tour I was very disappointed about the behaviour of one of the two drivers: we had a little stop to drink something, when I gave to the driver an empty can of beer he throwed away on the ground. In the desert. I said "don't... More

Dear Massimiliano, thank you for your feedback. The incident you are referring to was part of an ongoing attempt to keep the excursion light and playful. If something got lost in translation, we do sincerely apologise. We as guides and Namibians LOVE our country and especially the pristine conservation area that is Sandwich Harbour. We regularly collected garbage left by... More

We chose to do a self-drive through this paradise where the massive desert dunes meet the sea. 50km of travel going south from Walvis along the beach sand was unforgettable and simply uplifting to the maximum. We cam across seals lounging on the beach, drove in the dunes and sprinted back from the actual Sandwich harbor to beat the incoming... More

We started with the dolphin cruise in the morning, and did the 4x4 sandwich harbour tour in the afternoon. Both trips were organised by Mola Mola. It was absolutely great and exciting! We had a really nice guide and driver, doing tricks in the dunes. He also explained a lot about 4x4 driving. Be prepared for lots of food and... More

This is really an outstanding day out from Walvis Bay. Our guide, Nico, showed us the absolute highlights of this amazing part of the world. From the local salt works, to bird and animal life. Most impressive, though is the scenery. Nico gave us ample opportunity to get out of the vehicle for photo stops. Then, the drive through the... More
