Get a boat trip and enjoy a sunny day in the Arabic sea. The fjords are spectacular esp. if you view them closely from the sea. You can also easily spot dolphins in the fjords area as they tend to form bays, which this type...More

I went on a Dhow cruise to the Oman Fjords on a visit to Musandam with my family in November 2016. It was a wonderful experience. The geological rock formations are absolutely stunning, so beautiful and unexpected. During the trip the dhow crew called the...More

A great day out. It was 40c when we went but the shade on the boat and the movement made it a very present day. Dolphins seen and telegraph island visited. What's not to like. A brilliant day out. We even saw Iranian goat smugglers

I am going to Ras Al Khaimah in August 2017 with my family. I am planning to take them to the Omani fjords dhow trip to Khasab. I would like to know as a British passport holder - how much would it cost for an Omani visa, and how much the UAE exit fees will be for us? We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids aged 9, 11, 13). Please advise on the total cost per person for the visa and UAE exit/entry costs. Any advice on cost savings will be very helpful. We plan to go for 'one day' only from RAK - so any recommendations or advice about tours and companies will be much appreciated.

One day is too little time , hardly enough for the dhow trip ...better go when you have more time...there are cheap and clean hotels ...

Shanas222 ..... Which agency or who did you book that tour with. That's exactly what we want to do and I can't find an agent to do both. In Dubai now and hoping to go Sunday or Monday, many thanks in advance. Anyone else recommend any agent for the tour....if so, web site or contact details appreciated. Many thanks - Stephen
