The 2h tour for 20$ is quite worth it! Javier is so interesting and it's quite amazing what they have managed to accomplish on this farm. You get a small tasting at the end also and the boutique has some nifty items for sale. Enjoy!

Javier and his wife have such a great place. We really enjoyed the tour with Javier - he has a lot of knowledge and is a cool guy. We learned a lot and the tasting after the tour was the perfect way to finish a great afternoon.

Words cannot describe how cool Up In The Hill truly is. You MUST visit if you're in the area. The family who runs the farm - a husband and wife, plus their three children, are so kind, knowledgeable and friendly. We only wish we could have spent more time there. We did the tour, which was one of the most... More

My, my 7mounth pregnant wife and my 2 years old daughter spent a week here and we neither went to the beach due to the inner peace we had had up on the hill. Is a magic place where the ocean forces meet terrestrial forces and a tree lives in harmony with a flower, an animal and a human. Owners... More

I was on Isla Bastimentos for 2 weeks and loved every visit we took to Up in the Hill. Being gluten free and dairy free, the cafe was a dream come true - I thoroughly recommend the divine vegan cacao truffles and the coconut cacao milk (very refreshing after the little walk up there!). The organic cacao is grown on... More

The hike up the hill is real – it takes about 20 minutes and in rainy season it's pretty muddy. Getting to the farm at last, we had breakfast here. The egg sandwich was by far the best of the egg dishes and the coffee was good enough. Sadly, we got attacked by jungle ants here. The owners were as... More

Refreshing to find this hideaway up in the hill. The hike was not so bad, but vigorous. We continued down to Wizard beach on the other side. Did not take the tour but had a great breakfast and good coffee.

We wanted a nice breakfast in a sweet setting and we got it! The eggs were cooked perfectly, & the owner kindly asked if I would like cheese, onion, & tomato in my eggs?! Well Thank you for asking, Dont mind if I do! & they let us substitute fresh fruit for toast with no extra charge. The banana cake... More

The hike up the hill may be challenging to some, but it's worth it. Our guide (owner) was so knowledgable and took us around the property. You get to smell and taste plants. At the end you get to see how chocolate is made here and taste a lot of different foods. It's also sustainable and Eco which trust me,... More

Delicious brownies, and iced coffee with coconut milk. Warm service, and the required removal of shoes immediately puts you in a comfortable, slow down and enjoy yourself mood. Especially after the vertical climb to get there, don't try it in flip flops after hard rains.... wait for a dry afternoon
