We took a canoe around the accessible portion of the lake. We saw tons of wildlife, but the most fascinating portion of the trip was listening to the Holler Monkeys. This is a 5K hike from the river to the lake, but it is an extremely easy hike (no elevation, no steps), so don't refrain from going due to the... More

This trip is a boat down the river, a hike into the lake and a canoe around the lake. On the hike we saw Capuccine and Spider monkeys as well as a range of birds and insects.

We saw loads of wildlife whilst paddling a canoe round the lake. The guide was very knowledgeable. Didn't see the otters though.

This was one of the highlights of our Amazon Planet trip – I thought they were crazy getting us up to leave at 5.15am, but it was worth it for the sunrise and the boat trip and first part of the walk to the lake in the coolest part of the day. It soon hotted up whilst we were boating... More

A very hot walk from the river but full of great things to see on the way. The lake is amazing and we were lucky to see the otters, monkeys, caymen and loads of varieties of birds. Our guide, Fray from Inkaterra Hacienda was brilliant. Thanks for a lovely memorable day.

While on the lake we saw many bird species as were as caiman, turtles and the giant river otters. The hike in gave us some good birding. The hike out was rather tiring and very hot.

A beautiful lake is to been seen after walking through all the green. It will be hot and humid but the trees and sound of nature are like no other. Be sure to visit and feel the tranquility of the wildlife.
