We had a very relaxing time at Sandoval lake. Wildlife is beautiful, there were so many birds and monkeys. I can only recommend it. Make sure you make a couple of boat rides to see caymans, otters, sloths, birds and much more!

A pleasant walk through the forest accompanied by multi-coloured butterflies and moths, the sound of the birds and glimpses of howler monkeys booming in the treetops was capped off by the uplifting sight of the giant river otters, crunching on their fish dinner, playing together...More

We had to trek through heavy slush of clay for about 3Kms before you arrive at the lake. The trek is quite arduous for some as at places the slush is very sticky and at places quite slippery. Since it was raining on and off...More

We saw otters. How could I not rate this experience as 5 stars? The best experience we had during our stay in the Amazon. Beware we both walk a lot and found getting to and from the lake fine but others in the group struggled.
