We stayed one night. Overall, it's a great tour to experience traditional Uros life closely with the real Uros people. But, they should've set the expectation right. We received an email with action packed plans and we were excited, but that was our mistake. We were supposed to be picked up at 10am but Frank showed up around 10:20am (unfortunately,... More

I spent two nights at the lodge and I have to say that it was ok. I don't agree with rachelwalker12 with her review because in my case I have slept well with all those blankets, and people there were just friendly and doing their best. besides was awesome and staying at the Islands it is a unique experience. My stay was disastrous. The transfer met me at the bus station, then took me in a taxi to the lake where he had parked his boat. I had to wait 30 minutes as he wanted to give his sister a lift in the boat too. So awkward. The island is 10 minutes or so from puno, but when we... More

A nice boat tour and very interesting. The whole "set-up" feels however as a "living-museum" and it's just a little bit too much.

In short: skip and stay in a hostel in Puno or do it just for the experience. I stayed on the island as part of a tour. I was told by the agent that for 50 soles I could visit the floating islands, stay the night, and go to Taquile the next day. He didn't bother to say that you... More

Tourist are just money bags and we are treated so. You feel forced to buy something or take a rid on their boat and NOTHING is for free even if you already paid for the tour.

What is there not to like on the Uros Islands? Daily life is certainly different from what we are used to and the people gladly let us in on their daily routine. Warm greetings and super friendly people. Good explanations given as to how the islands are maintained and how they were created.l

Its an interesting experience, to see the locals. But the only thing is that the locals are not that locals. I suspect they leave the islands when the night falls. Also, they are really touristic, they know the rate for dollar and euro.. But overall, its an interesting experience.
