As we had some extra time to spend, we decided to visit this museum. Simple overview of the history of Cebu. Not real spectacular, but OK. There are few nice museum shops arround where we bought some souveniers. Friendly staff.

Ticket booth is off to the right - after gate and before main door (fee: 75P). The free tour guides are volunteers - some completing internships in their related fields of study. I recommend a tip at the end. Some visitors rush through the exhibits. My patient and well-qualified guide is just finishing her university study in tourism. I was... More

Visited with friends/colleagues last December 2016 You have different options on how to experience the tour around the museum. You can ask for assistance from their onsite tour guide (not sure if free). Or you can explore the place on your own (what we did). There is an entrance fee less than 50 pesos, I think. The security guards or... More

Our last visit of the day was Museo Sugbo. This museum could definitely benefit from a narrated tour … or even a simple map. Being quite weary it took some time to realise how the galleries are laid out. Each gallery should have a narration of the more interesting events and people. Reading page after page of fading documents in... More

i love the tour. I hope we can tour around the area, like the passageways near the entrance. I hope there was a picture of the before and after of the prison. I love how they conserved the materials in the gallery. It is surely amazing

If you want to teach your kids about old stuff and history then museo sugbo is a place to bring them. They have old paintings and artifacts that will remind us how rich our culture and history is.

The place is fascinating. We've been there with my wife last month. The tour really went well with a funny tour guide. The place reminds me of Intramuros in Manila. We have learned lots of historical information like how it built, what was pre-Spanish settlement during 1800s, etc.
