Myself and my partner decided to explore Cebu City without a tour guide and headed to Colon Street. We didn't know it was the oldest street in the Philippines and didn't seem any different from other streets - the significance was definitely lost on us!

There's not a lot here for tourists but it's good to get the vibe of the area. Lots of cheap stores selling replica goods. Didn't feel unsafe but probably wouldn't go alone as a western tourist as you stand out. Giasano is worth a look for some cheap bargains.

If you want to get out of the CBD this is the place. Mix with locals and enjoy the atmosphere, prices are so so much cheaper than the main shopping district. Lots of people lots of bargains lots of noises. Go and enjoy we did

This area has a great deal of goods for those who love to shop. From the little things like key chains, ref magnets, shawls, etc. Feast for the eyes and for the pocket.

People who visit Cebu particularly the city must at least try took a foot on this historic street. There's a lot of cheap items coming from china in this place but that don't fool you it still hold some goodies coming from the locals. Be safe!

Colon Street is the oldest street in Cebu. It's amazing to see how busy it is today, with businesses and pedestrians in every street while cars and all forms of transportation are seen, including the horsedrawn calesas which are allowed in the evening only.
