We arrive in Cebu almost mid night but I still notice the bridge and I ask the taxi driver about it he said the bridge was named after (former) Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Marcelo Fernan. There is nothing special but I like it the simplicity of the bridge

This bridge connects Mactan Island and Cebu Island and is an estimated 1km long. Despite smaller in size, its design resonates of the Anzac Bridge in Sydney, Australia. I'm unsure if this bridge has a path that allows people to walk it's length but if it has, I'm sure it'd be a lovely walk with a pleasant view of both... More

There are two bridges that connect Cebu with Mactan Island. The oldest bridge is Mandaue-Mactan Bridge, and the Marcelo Fernan Bride was opened in 1999 in an attempt to stop the horrendous traffic snarls with the old bridge. It is only partially successful and as my driver kept telling me a third bridge is long overdue. If you are planning... More

This is just a bridge and mostly traffic jams here so nothing interesting to see. Architecture...i dont think its special. Views...yes but nothing beautiful, townships and industry.. Even weird that there are people living in a harbour and industry area...

A beautiful piece of architectural work. Beautiful to see, but travel it only from east to west! My wife and I travel this bridge several times each week; but from Mandaue City to Lapu-Lapu City as it is almost always a parking lot going from Mactan to Cebu Island! Traffic jams on the old bridge west to east and on... More

This bridge connects Cebu to Mactan. The traffic flows well and smoothly. The bridge design is modern and makes traveling to both cities convenient

That bridge is quite an impressive piece of engineering and quite time-saving for local traffic. The independent bus services, which are frequent and cheap, are well off here.

You cross this bridge going to Mactan and the airport. Not very scenic or unusual. Too far to walk from anywhere so unless you are driving not very accessible.
