The religious antiques were beautiful especially the statues made of ivory and glass eyes. Ask permission from the caretaker before you leave the museum for a photo in the old staircase.

The history of Cebu is preserved in this museum. I is just along the road so very accessible if you want to know some of the history of Cebu.

Historic building housing artifacts from the recent past, this museum is a welcome addition to the many museums sprouting in the city. There are many items on the second floor going up using the hardwood stairs. There is minimal explanations or panels in the galleries so if you could ask the guide downstairs to accompany you, she or he will... More

Downtown Cebu is known for its bustling streets and old buildings. One of these buildings is the Cathedral Museum which houses religious artifacts that dates back to the Spanish Colonial Era. This place is perfect for those who wants to learn more about Cebuano history and culture. The old museum is located just beside Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral along P. Burgos... More

I happened to just chance upon this museum while walking towards my destination. So i told myself to go take a look inside. The entrance is 50 pesos. Inside, you get to see some garments and chair worn by Pope John Paul II, some robes worn by the cebu cardinal, some old statues of saints, and items used during the... More

Located adjacent to Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is the Cathedral Museum. The structure is old and classic. It houses the religious icons and things wore and used by the priests in conducting mass. It is a 2 storey museum and has a spacious garden. It has clean rest rooms and has a souvenir shop. The museum is indeed well maintain and... More

Despite its proximity from our workplace, I only had the chance to visit this Museum during the Heritage Month. I say this museum lacks something despite its display. I just can't figure it out. Maybe more interaction from its visitors? Although the museum design is good, more should be done on the display. The Baclayon Church Museum in Baclayon, Bohol... More

My first experience of going around Cebu and visited this museum. It's easily located at downtown. Many of the artefacts are from the Spanish colonial times. The garden at the back of the museum is a nice spot to chill after the tour.
