Beautiful view!

Although getting to the citadel it's not exactly a "walk in the park", I recommend it! The citadel is very interesting and the view it's absolutely beautiful!

If you happen to be near Radna, go for a short drive to Soimos Ruins. You have to go uphill for about 20 min and the climb is a bit difficult because it is very steep. The view is amazing. Rest a bit on top of the hill and enjoy the view before entering the ruins. Try to imagine what... More

The ruins of a fortress, without being too maintained. The road to the top is undeveloped, but the views on Mures Valley deserves. There is parking space for your car safely to leave the fortress walls ... Besides there is nothing above the city ... nothing commercial where to get water, food or souvenirs.

Really amazing view over the surroundings - hills, river Mures, Maria Radna church! It's worth the climb, takes like 30-40 minutes.

These 13th century ruins are worth the hike. After visiting the Basilica in Radna, it's a short drive to the base of the house hill, then a 20 minute uphill hike to the top of the cliffs where the Fortress sits. View are spectacular.

It was perfect destination for an active relax after massive Easter lunch. 15 minutes of hiking up the hill and one ends up with a spectacular panorama of Mures river, with its green hilly banks, splitting the town of Lipova. Big 5 for Soimos!

Though I live close by, I just today visited this beautiful, historical, magical place, in Lipova. The old forstress is easy to see when you're in the small city, you can park at the bottom of the hill and prepare for a 20 minutes walk up. BONUS, if you are lucky enought you will be accompanied and guided by the... More

Worth the visit for the medieval architecture, views, lizards and serenity. Acces from the european road is on 300m trail with a high slope (120 m height difference).

Nice ruins, romantic atmosphere. It is serene and during the week almost nobody there. There is a 30-min climb from the parking place (a small street on the left of the Arad-Deva main road), so it involves some calories burning ;) . Nice to be alone among the ruins, take pictures and time-travelling in the past. You will feel again... More

Not so easy to reach even the citadel look to be close to the main road who link Arad and Deva, two important cities in Transilvanya.
