Very goos place to read and escape from the busy city. It should be visited periodically to see its full splendor. The Japanese garden is the nicest although it could use some renovating.

I had some time to kill in Cluj and read about the Botanical Garden. I am so glad I ended up going. I've never been someone to really love gardens/flowers before, but after traveling Europe for 3 months and always being bombarded by history, facts, massive buildings, beautiful churches, and tourist traps, this was a total breath of fresh air.... You can't miss this place if you visit Cluj. All green & peaceful! Could stay all day long in here. Don't miss the water tower, the view from up high is really nice.

One of the best places to visit in Cluj, if you want a little bit relax in the nature, this is the right place. The perfect season to visit the Garden is after April.

I've been to Cluj to visit some friends and among the places i spent time in was the Botanical Garden. I haven't seen it since i was 14 years old. I must say it was a very nice surprise to find the garden in such a good condition. It was very clean, very well kept. A very big diversity of... More

Wonderful park, probably the best botanical garden in Europe. Free access if you have a book. Lush gardens and forest sections. Japanese garden.

I wasn't planning on visiting this trip, but so happy I did! A whole array of flowers and plants roughly 15 minutes walking from the center! I loved the collection of tulips and the Japanese garden. Also, the plant specimen library is a must - it resembles a laboratory seen in old films. The garden really is one of the... More

These are beautiful gardens with a relatively wide selection of things to see. The greenhouses are only so-so but the flowers outside are so beautiful, the Japanese garden is really surprising and also, you can spend a few hours there wandering, climbing and actually doing some hiking without even go outside of the city. Entrance costs 10 lei pp and... More
