Located in front of the Reformed Church built with the support of King Matthias Corvinus. Saint George Slaying the Dragon is a fine bronze copy of the first and most famous equestrian statues of the 14th century.

This is a fairly small statue outside the Reformed church, and a "modern" copy of an original now housed in Prague(?). I'm no sculpture expert, but I saw nothing of huge merit in a rather effeminate St George skewering a very small dragon. Call me...More

This is one of several historic monuments around the area. It is an enjoyable area to walk around especially in the summertime

The statue is in front of the Reformed Church of Klausenburg and is adjacent to the city walls and the Tailors Tower. It is 600 years old and the oldest bronze statue of the Siebenburgen area.

Nice statue but really quite small. We expected something more dramatic. Set in a nice quiet location in front of the Reformed Church at the end of a street on university buildings.

There usually are fairs or cultural activities, concerts or markets open around the statue. The Christmas fair is own here every year in December, there are live carol concerts and plenty of stalls from which you can sample delicious cakes, mulled wine, local cuisine. You...More
