Well, it's something you shouldn't miss, particularly at Christmas when the market of little booths selling foods and other items to get ready. Modern commercial buildings, which don't match the historic Unirii Sq further north.

Victory Square is one of the 3 main squares in Timişoara, probably the most famous one. Back in time, it was called Opera Square because at one of it's pole is located the Romanian National Opera. At the other pole is situated Timişoara Orthodox Cathedral. The whole square is full of colourful flowers creating a lovely ambience. There is no... More

I like very much the atmosphere here in all seasons. Winter is coming with thousands of lights and Christmas market, în the summer you have flowers and coffee places. Enjoy!

We visited Timisoara and we werevery impressed with Victory Square because of it's beautiful floral arangements. If only the underground sidewalk near the university was not clised and full of dirt, it would have been perfect. Worth visiting! The town is full of young people and you can choose from a lot of activities, both cultural and relaxation.

First of all the square is very beautiful. But besides its roses, businesses and restaurants, the place was the beginning of Rumania's modern history. A must when in Timi.

One of the terasses had a dreadful coffee. Lloyd's restaurant was actually quite good. I enjoyed the food there but i wished they had some of the local beers on draught.

A pretty square with colourful and beautiful building on each sides of the square; with National Opera building on one end and Metropolitan Cathedral on the other. Numerous numbers of places to eat too. Right near the city tourist information centre.

A nice square with a beautiful garden. Somehow the fast food stores are ruining a bit of the old and traditional feeling here, but it is overall a nice location which should be visited when in Timisoara.
