We would have missed the entrance to this shop had we not had a guide with us - doesn't have a huge neon sign outside stating Tesco Metro or ASDA! Actually is more like a Harrods or beautiful Art Deco shop that sells everyday items...More

Well worth a detour on the metro to this “grocery store” ........ Chandeliers in high ceilings and ornaments everywhere, unheard of vodkas as well as pastel colored tp, Heinz ketchup with Russian labels and the best caviar sold by the gram......$$$ - Do not miss...More

We did not know what to expect and were awestruck with what we saw. It is the most ornate grocery store ever. Beautiful and historical. Good for shopping too. Not touristy

This place really is a must see but be ready for the attendants to follow you around the store. They don't think you are going to steal anything (like we thought) they are there to backfill the shelf where you select an item. This makes...More

The store is very pretty and well worth a look. Decided to try lunch in the restaurant. I think our waiter finished his shift halfway through our meal. Finally got the check from another girl. Only had a large note. Waiting for change for quite...More

THE temple of food on Tverskaya, the large avenue central Moscow you find any food from Russia and former republics. Focus on fish, deli, a kitsch horn of plenty, especially columns. Local Moscovites do shop there

You may not be interested in grocery shopping during your visit to Moscow, but that doesn't mean you should skip this market. The interior is incredibly beautiful and worth seeing, and you're probably going to walk past it on Tverskaya during your other sight-seeing. They...More

Very beautiful building to home one of the finest shops I've ever seen. Charming place and lots of gourmet things to buy... and you can even eat some of them in the entrance corner. Ideal for a quick snack admiring the walls and roofs of...More

Even if you just go to see the interior of the store, it's always worth a visit. It's a great place to get food souvenirs or a picnic. It's more procey than a supermarket, but you pay for the location and the experience

Tverskaya can’t be discovered with just a first
glance, the neighborhood is shaped around a long

it’s more than shopping that makes this place
interesting. Take a few steps into the streets running
