This granite oblisk is located near the Kremlin wall in the Alexander Garden. It was erected in 1914 and celebrated the 300th anniversary of the Romanov Dynasty. It is near the center of the garden.

The era of opulence lies within this monument. The park it is in is great for people watching. Sit and relax and view the people.

This is a fixture in the peaceful Alexander Garden. While a beautiful obelisk, it is significant because of its dedication to the Romanov family. The names were removed during the days of communism but have since been replaced.

This Roman obelisk provides a bit of a contrast to the other monuments you'll see in the Alexander Gardens. Instead of the regular bronze statue this is an obelisk which is dedicated to the Romanovs. Interesting to have a quick look.
