Beautiful excursion partly with off road car and partly on foot. Sky and temperature were beautiful with a lot of snow. Volcanos still actives in the region

The hike to Gorely Volcano can be done in couple of hours, it's not as long and strenuous as other volcano hikes. The whole thing will take you a better part of your day though, as it's couple hour's ride by KAMAZ from either PPK...More

The hike was not arduous at all, and quite pleasant (but make sure you have your trekking poles!) You will cross a snow field, however. Up top, make sure you climb the "tooth" - that's the highest point of the volcano, at 1823 meters, if...More

We climbed Gorely one day after the Mutnovsky volcano. Luckily it is not as steep and the trail is much easier. (see review together with Mutnovsky volcano)

About 4km one way with elevation of 700m from the bottom of the volcano. Easy route. Great views with volcano lake and panorama view of the mountain range from the top.

Had an amazing day hike up Gorely with a locally organised tour group. Some of the locals hiked up kayaks and paddle boards. Everyone paddled and swum and just hang out having a great time. They are amazing people in Kamchatka. Definately worth the experience.
