This museum ably combines a good exposition on the origins, extraction and processing of amber with some great examples of jewelry and more exotic items. The modern displays in the basement were a little pretentious and/or vulgar but interesting nonetheless. The audio guide is useful to supplement where english labelling is poor but it wasnt comprehensive.

Intetesting exhibition about different types of amber. There was not many people at thay time and it was a little strange for me that all visitors must move in the same directios. But I understand the positive side about it. Friendly staff. They tried to speak with me in German, when they understood that I'm not Russian

The Amber Museum is placed inside the old fort. Exposition is not very big. Describes the nature of the amber, history of amber jewelry. A lot of nice jewelry. Souvenirs. Very good.

The housing of museum- an old tower- is a nice place to see. One of not many sights in Kaliningrad which is visitors with disabilities friendly. It is the amber-lover paradise. You will find here stunning amber masterpieces and copies of world-famous Amber Room

This museum is really good for tourists who wants to know more about the Kaliningrad region. It tells about the symbol of Kaliningrad, amber. Also you can see a lot of paintings, accessories that are made out of amber. Then you can buy something from amber. The ticket for an adult costs about 200 rub

The highlight of this small museum was the collection of amber pieces containing frozen-in-time insects, leaves and other once-alive relics. However too much of the rest are replicas and the quality of the displayed decorative pieces isn't a scratch on what you can see for sale in some places. Similarly the lower floor was given over to some pretty poor... More

If you want to know about Amber - you've come to the best place! Kaliningrad is also known as the city of Amber, as the region produces 90% of the global reserves of this rare fossil
