Tank of smelly water with animals that are doing mild tricks while hostess tells a fairy tale linking the tricks to a storyline. Even sitting on the top, third row, we were in abject terror of being splashed and stinking of dirty fish water the rest of our trip. Unless you have children or want to see Russians enjoying their... More

Don't think of this as anything like you would find in more developed parts of the world. It's a small enclosure with arctic seals performing tricks, and has nothing to do with conservation.

The oceanarium is next to the large lake where people do ice swimming, and the attraction park for children. The 1hr long shows they put on are interesting and fun to watch and the well-treated mammals seem to enjoy taking part. It's not very expensive and visitors can always incorporate it as part of a mini tour to include the... More

A nice show of seals, walruses and sea-cats in Murmansk city. It's close to the Alyosa War Memorial and absolute worth to visit.

The show consists of trained Greenland seals doing tricks in and out of the water. This is not a Sea World performance, but they do put on a very entertaining show. The seals appear to be well cared for by their trainers. They (the seals :) vary in age from 3 to 28, and up to 750 pounds. The venue... More

Firstly, in regards to the animals, I believe those are all rescued seals and sea dogs that were injured by the large ships and unable to survive in their natural habitat. They seem to be well-cared for and each one has their own trainer who's responsible for them. I admit the interior is quite dated and a bit gloomy, not... More

This place is a shock! The smell is horrible, the water is so dense green and cloudy that you cannot see an animal that is swimming right next to the glass while you are downstairs. This place is basically an entertainment center for young children. The mammals are well trained, but they live in very small pens. The kids probably... More

First, the seals were adorable, well trained and seemed well nourished. But, the facility is depressing. Your first impression is of the fishy smell! The water is dirty green and cloudy, and the tanks are so small for these wonderful animals! There are blow up plastic ocean animals hanging from the ceiling. For American and European guests, it is hard... More
