We started lining up before the museum opened and spent 2 hours in line, but we still did not reach the ticket booths...online booking is HIGHLY recommended!!

This was a well worth a visit. Takes a few hours to get around but it is well worth it if you are visiting St Petersburg.

This is a huge, world famous museum in the heart of the city. It can take days to see everything but we raced through it in 2 hours which gave us merely a taste of it. Highlights included 2 Da Vince canvas paintings and 1 small Michaelangelo sculpture. A must see if in this city.

One of the world's greatest museums, I was told that covering the entire complex would mean a walk of 22 kms. I could walk only 6, but I know I must go back for more. An outstanding collection, very well displayed.

Hours passed by without us realising until our feet told us it was time to go back to the hotel. One of the best museums I have ever visited

One of the best museums of the world among with the famous museum of Louvre in Paris. Besides a museum it stands for a palace as well so you get to expierience the baroque style of the Tsar's era. It contains a lot of paintings and work of arts from renowed artists such as Tiziano, El Greco, Botticelli, Da Vinci... More

Gaudy gold filled decor, elegant parquet floors and incredible art. I only had 1.5 hours, you need more to see everything.

Has to be one of the nest stocked museums in the world. We went t9 Dali / catalonia exhibition along with le farbe show. After that saw just a few rooms of Fleming, impressionism and s9me sculptures. The building itself is awesome and the art is really mind blowing.
