In a few words: amazing, brathtaking, gorgeous, unforgattable, mesmerizing,... Do not miss if you are visiting St. Peersburg, plan ahead to get tickets and take plenty of time as it is huge and you dont want to be rushed through.

This place was just so grand. I am absolutely short of words to describe its beauty and content but I'll try my best. Rated as one of the top 3 museums in the world and rightfully so. When you visit this pace make sure you keep the whole day free. It's large and it's exhaustive. You may want to book... More

This is a truly stunning museum. There are apparently some 3 million exhibits which belong to the Hermitage, of which 10% are on display at any one time. It is huge, and would be easy to get lost, so it is well worth using a tour guide, who is qualified to show you around this museum. We chose a company... More

I will DEFINITELY go back. Everything is absolutely amazing. The building, decorations, architecture, and of course the art!! 10/10 must-see! Entrance is not expensive at all compared to museums in other countries and students don't have to pay anything at all.

Set out first thing in the morning ---you'll need time to see all the things you want to see. Have a plan because you will not be able to see the entire place in one shot. Bathrooms are clean and free. There was a man selling roasted chestnuts from his cute little cart just outside the building, in case you... More

I wish i would have spent more time here... We spent about 5 hours or so, and i dont feel like i seen very much of it. The Hermitage is an amazing building, with art on every wall of every room, i especially enjoyed the rooms that were set up as they were in the palace, it was extremely interesting... More

If you have visited Buck House or the House of Lords in London and were impressed, then you will be blown away by the Winter Palace (or Hermitage as it is now known). Room after room of stunning architecture, art, jewellery, crockery, marble, glass, malachite... it has to be seen to believed. As a history teacher, of particular highlight for... More

Wow. I have visited many museums and art galleries but none match up to the Hermitage. You do need to plan your visit because it would take weeks to see all that is on display. The areas of Russian Art are particularly fine and when you need a change you just walk across the square and see the Impressionists and... More

The excellent thing is the art. The bad thing and it's abysmally bad is the infrastructure: 1. No lifts unless you want to ring a museum assistant to use it. I had a sprained ankle and walking up and down long staircases was painful. 2. Particularly annoying were the staircases that were on the plan but shut, or that led... More

Great place! Too much to see! Should go from early morning and spend there all day! Don't even try to see everything in one day
