If you have 3-4 hours of time put it on your calendar! Overwise you will not be able to enjoy it! fullest. There are masterpieces of Russian art. You can find icons and modern paintings. Unbelievable cultural and mental experience.

This gallery has a wonderful collection of Russian paintings and sculpture. Be sure to check opening times as the museum has rather varied hours when it is open

Yes there is a cloak-room, and they will store small luggage. I'm not sure if they'll accept suitcases or larger bags. Didn't see any.
