WORTH THE DETOUR OFF NEVSKY PROSPECT

This is a gorgeous foot bridge over the canal. The griffin statutes are well done. Take a step back and look up the canal for Spilled Blood. GREAT PHOTO OP

Just a few steps from Kazan Cathedral and Nevsky Prospekt, this 25 meter pedestrian bridge with it's four winged lions (?) is a beauty and good place to take pictures of the canals and over to the "spilled blood cathedral".

Very picturesque, well worth a look at if you are in the area for a photo location. It's also in a nice area to wonder with the canals.

This pedestrian bridge is flanked on 4 corners with four winged lions in front of the State University of Economics and Finance. Legend has it that if you rub the paw of the lion you will become very wealthy. Give it a try.

While strolling the streets and canals of this lovely city I came upon this very artistic bridge. Very nice site with the cathedral in the background. I was fortunate to find a student artist painting the scene. I was able to buy one of his paintings for just a few rubles. It now sits above my dining table and fondly... More

Just a couple blocks south of Nevsky Prospekt is the Bank Bridge with beautiful griffins. It's one of many bridges that offer beautiful views of the canals. There also are cafes and coffee shops nearby.

Rather far away from nevski. But apparently must see in St-Pete. Some historical buildings are around this bridge

Very small, but romantic pedestrian bridge, with pair of feathered lions at both ends. Excellent atmosphere, views and photos.
