This is a modest museum on Nevskiy Prospekt that is worth a look if you are in the area. Mostly of architectural interest but well decorated and maintained. There is an elevator to avoid the stairs but the staff are not keen to use it....More

You can easily walk past this place and not realise that you can get in. Much of what you see is about the architecture as well as porcelain and painted art. The state romm has a fantastic ceiling. Added bonus was being told off fir...More

Not to be missed. It's a small gem, hiding in plain view on the corner of Nevsky and Moika. 18th century interiors have been lovingly restored. Look for the mirrored room -- what an amazing optical illusion?

I have no idea why this Palace was so quiet, it is a gem. Lovely large gleaming rooms, art, furniture, not stuffed full, but I really enjoyed wandering around. Maybe I just hate crowds, but this was a gem!

A beautiful unique building from the outside especially with those statues right in the heart of the city. Nice to take good shots of those statues and the building. Unfortunately I did not go inside .
