The monument itself is not that interesting, but it is located on a prime spot with commanding views over the Wolga river. A jollyful woman sells excellent icecream!

The monument itself isn't anything special, but the story behind the Soviet airman V. Chkalov is very impressive. There is a legend that the statue has its back turned to Vancouver.

You wanna go and check this statue because of the view. It's amazing. You can see the rivers and the walls of Kremlin. I liked this spot in Nizhny Novgorod.

This monument is your reward for climbing up the lenghty Chkalov staricase. It's huge and facing the city rather than the river. Makes for nice pictures and on weekends there's many brides around, taking their pictures here.

Such a good place to visit. If you are in Nizhniy Novgorod at first you have to visit this monument. Nice, clean square around and wonderfully panorama will make your heartbeat faster.

Just fuel up yourself and your camera before you head for this place. Every step you d feel like clicking yourself as the confluence of two rivers in the background makes for a perfect setting.
