Higher charge for foreigners but never mind. Still well worth a visit. Will give an insight into how Russia turned the tide of the war and pushed the Germans back from the brink of victory. Not one step back.

Great museum , do take the audio tour at 100 rb (1000 rb deposit) as the museum is all in Russian. You can walk from the alley of heroes to the museum beside the Volga in about 20 minutes

This museum is absolutely crucial to understanding Volgograd, and in fact even Russia. It now has audio guides in English as otherwise everything is in russian. It can be quite overwhelming as it's really large. But it's worthwhile taking the time, maybe even hire a...More

Hello, My name is Marcel Grossarth and I am 17 years old. I am currently doing the International Baccalaureate at the International school of Luxembourg and over the summer I will be writing my extended essay in history. My topic will be “To what extent was the Battle of Stalingrad more significant for the Nazis than the Soviets in regards to the outcome of WWII?". I was wondering if would be possible to put me in contact with any historians/ staff members perhaps from the museum who know extensive knowledge on the Battle of Stalingrad. Thank you very much
