For China, this is a better-than-average botanical garden intended to show off a collection of sub-tropical plants. There are a series of glass houses that provide tropical moist habitat for plants, and there is also an arid glasshouse. There is a big collection, but many...More
The grounds are well kept but the greenhouses have seen better days I'm afraid.
Can get a 20 RMB ticket or 50 RMB combo. I recommend the later.
Located right next to botanical garden metro station.
I enjoyed it. Killed a couple of hours
Nice place, about 7 minutes walk from the metro station Botanical Garden, two types of tickets: 20 rmb for garden only, 50 rmb for garden and greenhouses. The last one worth its price. The park is well maintained, in the greenhouses there are proper translation...More
The botanical garden is very nice to spend a « quite » moment. The park is huge so I advice to take at least 3-4 hours to visit it.

Yes, you could get around a lot of the garden in a wheelchair. The pathways are mostly paved and without steps. The greenhouses would be more difficult - some had rocky paths and steps. If I remember correctly, you'd be able to get into all of them, but not get everywhere within them. There is also a ride system - you can get on this, and it will take you around the garden. However, it is not wheelchair accessible. Its cost is included in the price of the entrance ticket.
