Goddess of Mercy

This is the only known standing Goddess of Mercy that faces the sea. It offers the opportunity to light fire crackers in a safe and controlled environment.

I took my friend here when he was visiting and he thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a bit out town but, like so many attractions, you can get close to it via Guangzhou's sprawling MTR system. You can take some nice photos, enjoy a bit of fresh air and generally enjoy a little peace (during offpeak times) here at Lotus Mountain.

There is a very value for money package offer on ctrip which included return boat ticket and admission ticket for only CNY 88. Need to walk for 770m from jetty to east gate and took a electric car of CNY 10 up to the Guanyin. There is a hotel on top of hill with nice chinese food as well.

The park is pretty big s you definitely need more than a few hours. When I went with my group the place was crowded with tourist and holiday visitors paying their respects. It was a festive sight to see. I definitely recommend going to this place.

The third visit to this temple/garden/fort. Everytime we go we find something new. Everybody knows about the giant gold statue and the temple next to it with the gold buddha, but go to the send floor and see the white buddha. Find the old fort, it's steeped in history. Look across the river and you can unerstand why it's there.... More

My partner and I went here last week, it wasn't too crowded like some of these parks can be however this was probably down to the hot weather. There's lots of nice things to see and if the weather is not so hot then it would be worth spending more time there walking around exploring. I will go back there... More

A good place to look around and get some nice pictures taken. Avoid going in the middle of the summer as it gets to hot to walk around.

This place is a little bit outside of the city so you will escape the traffic and the noise level there for a few ours. The place itself is clean very natural, I just did not like the monks in the temple sitting at theirs desk behaving watching you praying but where playing with their iPhones under the table...
