It was a very nice visit and a very interesting museum. I'd plan two hours. Lots of interesting artifacts from the tomb excavation.

The museum in Yuexiu Park gives a good summary of the development of Guangzhou. Nice little videos, though not much English. All in all not overly exiting, but I felt the view from the top balcony made the visit worthwhile.

the history of city of Guangzhou can be found in the museum a must visit, best to go any time of the day. its not that crowded.

A lot of renovation is going on at the museum, with only two small galleries open while it's taking place. They've cut the admission fee to RMB5 as a result, but there's very little to see.
