I was worried it would be tough to manage looking around with our 4-year old who is quite talkative and gets 'Bored' too soon, but was pleasantly surprised to find a kids' play area inside decent enough to keep her busy while we peeked through the exhibits on the second floor. Top floor has an excellent video screen showing the... More

A fantastic museum. Easy 2 min walk from metro, 12 RMB entrance fee. The tomb and its treasures are 2000 years old and it's just amazing to see how sophisticated the society was. Plenty of English signs with good explanations. Definitely worth the visit.

Such an archaelogical find. Only discovered in 1983 I think. The artifacts displayed are so well presented as are details of what they actually found. You can even go into the burial chambers themselves. The museum is very modern and well maintained. Suitable for any type of traveller as access is excellent except the front steps I think.

This is one place you need to visit when you are in Guangzhou... Information given by this museum both in video presentation and signage is very clear and impart knowledgeable facts about the Western Han Dynasty and burial details of King Zhao Mo. Imagine a burial suite made solely of jade complete with headgear, gloves and shoes. Accompanying the King... More

This museum is well-organized with plenty of English signage. It tells you the history of the dynasty and it is fascinating to walk inside the tomb and learn about the history of ancient Panyu, Seeing the mummy covered by jade tiles is also interesting. It is very close to Yuexiu Park (also a must see place).

Han Dynasty considered a golden age in Chinese history to this day. What a treat! Yes of course the museum is not systematic, but it is the history. Very educational, and you learn. But try to avoid public holidays or days off, it is just too busy!

This quaint museum is in the heart of Guangzhou and has the remains of an early emperor. Fortunately the tomb was not raided so lots of the pieces were able to be restored. In addition to the tomb findings there is an exhibit of ceramic pillows. Lots of things to see so expect to spend anywhere from 1.5 to 2... More

Specialised museum Entrance is a nominal 10 yuan (about £1). Modern design encloses the tomb (which you can enter), and separate building displays the artefacts and treasures found in the tomb – beautifully displayed. In the main building is a permanent world-famous exhibition of ceramic pillows (yes, pillows). That part may not be of interest to everyone, but if you... More

This museum was really wonderful! Most, if not all, descriptions were in English as well as Chinese. The museum was informative and the displays arranged thoughtfully.
