The last stop of Bus B16 is Yuntai Garden Bus Depot. A short walk up is the ticket office for the cable car ride to the top of the mountain. One way cable ride is Y25 per person. At the top, follow the exit signs to the open area that is very refreshing and cool. Shaded and full of trees... More

The reason why it is called Baiyun Mountain is that it is located in Baiyun District of Guangzhou. Baiyun Mountain is one of the famous Guangzhou attractions. It is listed into the Top 10 typical spots in Guangzhou. At the top, you will have a good view over the whole Guangzhou City. Fresh air, beautiful landscape and excellent views will... More

Bai Yun Park is huge. We normally stick to our 'local' patch and trudge up the stairs to the top. This time SWMBO was feeling adventurous and we took the bus four stops to the West Gate. As ever it's a five Yuan entry (luckily we've got monthly discount cards). Not many steps in this part of the park, rather... More

You can either walk along the trails or take the cable car - we opted to walk. Aside from the greenery - a relaxing change from the bustle of Guangzhou - there is a Buddhist shrine, a lot of over priced food stalls, and some great views of the metropolis.

Took the rope way to go up and down. If you have time you can plan to hike one way. From top you will get a good view of the city.

Took a cable car up and a tram down. Cable car ride was nice and gave a very different view from that from the tram ride. So I suggest you don't buy a return cable car ticket. Both rides were very comfortable. Saw many people walking down from the park. It would have been a lovely walk if we had... More

There are many entrances to the park. We took the stairs. We climbed more than 600 stairs. The park was crowded but it is not too bad. After the flight of stairs, we were rewarded by a good view of the city.

Baiyun Mountain is definitely worth a visit if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A quick taxi ride will take you to the base of the cable car. The short ride is scenic and pleasant and it was not crowded. On the day we visited, the views were not the best as the... More

So much to do in this area... we took electric car up, toured aviary- super cool. Hiked throughout park. Lots of eateries/ shops there as well. Took cable car down- amazing views of central business district and south Guangzhou. A great place for kids.
