I stayed a few minutes away from the Pearl river and I have to say it was one of the best 'rivers to hang out by. I was there in december and after dark all the tall buildings were lit up like huge tv screens....More

Took the cruise twice. First time it was raining so we mostly stayed inside and enjoyed the food and entertainment. The second time we took lots of pictures as the weather was better. Took our friends back with us the second time.

Extremely pretty river day or night; but in the evening, the buildings put on light shows. Go early and have a meal in the cafes near where the boats leave. Some tours offer a meal during the cruise.

The track at the pearl river is a really nice place to take a stroll especially when you are with kids River itself is a good outdoor activity as you can take a boat ride or night cruise

The Pearl River is long and majestic. It looks beautiful at night as the lights from the buildings that are on the banks of the river light up. The boats on the river too light up at night, making the experience quite unique.

Regularly travel up and down the Pearl River on business. If the weather is clear there are some great views.

I rented a shared bike and biked along both sides of the river and really enjoyed the views day and night. You can get a cruise from one of the many piers and we did a Night cruise from Tianzi Pier.

Take a ferry at night to view the nice buildings along Pearl River. It takes about 40-50mins per trip. Dont expect the buildings to be as vibrant and more than Hong Kong or Shanghai though. Each has their own beauty.

I've to confess I never travelled in China at the time of Qing Ming but I think the public transports never stop: China is not as "backward" as USA or France where strikes, days off etc. are common haha! Now 'bout the hotel... More
